I was twitter buddies with Moton Hopkins, so I'm sad to see him leave the Bombers.

I was actually super surprised he got cut, along with Chris Garrett. Fred Reid seems to always have some issue in a game and Garrett did a serviceable effort as his backup last year.

Pretty sure Hopkins will be on the Practice Squad, at least I hope so.

Yeah, definitely looking forward to the Lions/Alouettes game tomorrow. I think the Roughrider/Alouette was the first game last year, and that game was by far the best of the entire season.

Any ideas on who I should root for in case of no NFL season?

i would root for winnipeg! go blue!

Why the Hell not? And it's not like anyone can accuse me of being a front-runner either.

You might be accused of being a masochist. ^_^

For the record, I'm lowering the over/under on when Buck Pierce gets injured to 5.5 games. Without a capable back-up, this is looking to be a loooong season for Winnipeg. Of course FWIW, I think it's going to be a loooong season regardless. I see too much of what we went through in Hamilton for 4 season in the current Bomber team.

I'm going to respectfully disagree. Hamilton was getting the crap beat out of them in those years. Winnipeg has been at least competitive. Also really Buck Pierce didn't run to injury problems till his last year in BC.

He'll be fine, he almost has to if he wants to continue playing in the CFL.

What he needs to do is learn to hook slide. This whole "leading with your head" thing is silly.

Elliott's going to be a capable backup. He'll have to be, since he's guaranteed at leat 5 starts a year.

alright, the season is about to start! BC vs Montreal(WTH i will predict a score to: Bc 16 vs Montreal 32)

Edit: i just realized that it would be double (16+16=32 at least i think...

Anyone know where to get fairly low price CFL stuff? Besides eBay? I actually think the stuff on eBay is even somewhat expensive.

You can always try CFL.ca and check for an occasional deal.
