ninersdd
The Sharks are apparently doing everything but addressing their utter lack of third and fourth lines. We got Handzus, but yeah we need to do more, especially for the 4th line. Don
Wow. Heatley had to ask out or did something to really piss them off or they really want to send a message to their locker room. I agree with Lee, Heatley deserves to go to Edmonton or the other least desirable location in the league. Total douche. The_Admiral
I figured Marleau, Thornton, and Heatley all had no-trades. Figured wrong, evidently.Heatley is a sack of crap as a person, but that first line was pretty awesome. The Sharks' approach--clean up in the regular season with your top two lines and then run out of gas when you have to keep grinding it out against a deeper team--obviously had to be retooled if they were going to win anything, but swapping Setoguchi and Heatley for Burns and Havlat doesn't really seem like the way to do it. I can't imagine why Doug Wilson did this; this doesn't seem to spite the people who fired Dale Tallon at all! ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

bigbean24
I love it! Havlat didnt do anything and he was always injured. Heatley may be a dick but he is good, ecspecially if they put him on the right line. Drakonius26
Heatley is a dick. Send him to :censored:ing Edmonton next time. Why? It's tough enough on those kids coming up. The last thing the Oilers need to worry out is Heatley endangering one of their young players by driving them 20 to 50 MPH over the speed limit home. Not the 'advertised' Heatley the Sharks thought they were getting. Havlat is adressing the Seto loss, I guess, and maybe more speed.Well I think the Wild are more focused on MAKING the playoffs and we'll see how Heatley collapses there but if he can help them make the Playoffs then we'll worry about his playoff disappearing act. For now The Wild need to make the playoffs or GMCF is out on his ace. Which is sad cause I like GMCF and want him to get the Wild outta the funk.I think a line-up like this:Offense:Heatley-Koivu-GoochLatendresse-Cullen-BouchardPowe-Brodziak-ClutterbuckNystrom-Gilles-StaubitzQuick call ups: Wellman, Almond, Mcintyre, or SheppardDefense:Schultz-ZidlickyScandella-ZanonStoner-SpurgeonQuick Call ups: Falk, Cuma, Prosser, Genoway, or PennerGoalies:BackstromHarding (or Endras if Harding fails)that is a solid team to have. Now if They can add another strong D (preferably a top pairing D) they can make the playoffs with a solid showing of the talent on paper. Who knows not many would've pegged the Wild to make the playoffs in 02/03 and then come from behind in a 3-1 series to the Avs (with Patrick Roy) AND Canucks to make the 3rd round. We can see how this unfolds but I'm actually optimistic about the next season for the Wild. Add in Mike Yeo and his potential makes me a happy Wild fan. FiddySicks
Honestly, I like this move for the Sharks. As good of a scorer Heatley is, he just never seemed to fit. He played a lot of dumb hockey and his defensive skills really killed the Sharks in the playoffs. Havlat's numbers weren't all that much of a drop off from Heatley's and at least he can get back and play some form of defense. Plus I think it saves San Jose over 2 mil on the cap, so it sets up for a possible big move.
