thespleenenator
In lieu of Ohio State's recent troubles, it seems as if every major blue blood program is getting screwed over in some way by the NCAA. So my question to you is: who's the next one to go down?

rams80
I hesitate to use the phrase "screwed over" to describe the NCAA's reaction to a litany of willful major violations. It's kind of like suggesting a criminal is going to get "screwed over" after gunning down a cop in broad daylight outside a police convention. But if something does, I hope they catch it before the season starts so we can kick Lache off the team and avoid the "playing with ineligible players" penalty. Lights Out
If there's such a thing as internet forum karma; Oregon.Twice as good if Arizona is pulled in as well.In all seriousness, I feel like there's way too much smoke around Auburn for something not to come out sooner or later. From the pay-for-play scandal, to Cecil Newton, to the rumors of automatic-win slot machine cards and unmarked ATM cards being handed out to players... this has all the makings of an Ohio State-esque downfall. Brave-Bird 08
I don't want to think about it. I'm sure it happens everywhere, especially at big time programs. The debate could blow up into something big...I mean...every college athlete is held down by certain rules that can restrict the way they make money, in a FREE market society, while their presence on a football team fuels a multi million dollar business that feeds nothing back to the players.I love college football...it's my happy place. I hate thinking about all of this investigation bull...I just want Georgia vs. Boise to get here so we can get back to talking football between the white lines. It's hard for there to be that much money on the table and not have it go into the wrong hands at some point.

thespleenenator
No one would be surprised because everyone knows it's happening.I wouldn't go that far. So far there is no evidence that any NCAA violations at Oregon are occurring right now (with the possible exception of Wily Lyles). Our problem is that we need players to stop getting arrested. One of the things I'm most proud of at oregon is that when someone has done something illegal, they get severely punished.
Kevin W.
So far there is no evidence that any NCAA violations at Oregon are occurring right nowYou don't know that for a fact. All you know is the public facts. The connections that exist between Phil Knight and the Nike-owned university lend themselves to cheating and I wouldn't trust Knight to play the game cleanly. It's not like his corporation plays any other game cleanly.

What if they are being offered sex and beer to play! WHAT IF THEY ARE RUNNING A DRUG RING!!!!! YOU DON"T KNOW! YOU ONLY KNOW THE PUBLIC FACTS!!! Kevin W.
If Arizona was cheating, we would have a better kicker and we wouldn't lose five straight to end the season. We're running as clean a program as possible and the record shows it.Besides, have you seen the women at Arizona? Players don't need to be offered sex as an incentive because it's already there by the bucketful.

However I will say this: your fans need to learn when to rush the field, and that it is not okay to boo a team that you lose to, or to throw water bottles at their cheerleaders. However I will say this: your fans need to learn when to rush the field, and that it is not okay to boo a team that you lose to, or to throw water bottles at their cheerleaders.Dude, seriously, screw you. That was one fan. Every fan base has bad apples. You don't hear me saying about the time some ASU fans chanted "PLO" and "Where's your dad, Steve?" at Steve Kerr because Kerr said in an interview that it was only one or two fans. Yeah, those dumbasses that jumped on the field early were idiots and embarrassed me so much that I considered asking Zona Zoo to revoke my membership, but that was different. The water bottle throwing was an isolated incident and for you to use that to tar and feather our entire fanbase is incredibly inappropriate. Does our fanbase seriously lack class? Yes. We do. I won't deny that. I saw a lot of in my time at that university. A lot of bad . A lot of our fans are fairweather and classless. However, the person who threw that bottle is the lowest of the low. In no way does his action represent the fanbase as a whole. And there's nothing wrong with booing a team that you lose to. It happens everywhere. You bet your ass those Nikegon fans that went to the NCG were booing Auburn after it was all over. At least we don't boo injured players like enough of your fans did to be heard on the TV microphones when we were in Eugene this past season.
