Phillies Concept with my custom patch

Here is my Phillies concept jersey. I used their current cream jerseys and made my own patch from scratch with the help of a good friend. This took us 3-4 hours! I used the current phillies liberty bell put it in a patch with our pinstripes as the background design. I will eventually upload another patch that will sa philadelphia phillies est. 1883 (the location of est. 1883 will be a surprise that many of you may like alot lol). For now I have this thing of beauty and I'd like you C & C's to help me perfect this if theres anything I should adjust.

Ok heres the updated patch with the stripes just behind the liberty bell (I'll make one with out the stripes but have to fix the stars b/c theres a white box around them so I'll try to finish that tomorrow). Ok let me know what you guys think.

if you got rid of the pinstripes on the patch it would be 10x better

Or kept the pinstripes only in the center portion (bell) or maybe in the ring portion (words).

Right now, with pinstripes behind the whole thing it sorta looks like an optical illusion. My mind tries to complete the lines across the circle, but the rings keep throwing me off. It makes the logo very busy and hard to "read."

I would take the ring around the bell out and only use one shade of red and blue.

Wow this has a lot of potential. I agree to take the pinstripes out of the outer portion(Maybe fill in some cream after taking them out) of the circle and keep them around the bell. I wouldn't mind seeing some more jerseys and stuff. Nice.

If you cleaned this up and used the Phillies' actual script, this would be a pretty nice logo.

Yea it was my 1st attempt at it and now that everyone mentioned it, I think it would look much better as well lol Thanks for the advice

Well I tried to duplicate the font we use on our jerseys but its impossible to find anywhere, and theres some kind of law, the Phillies made their font extrememly private and I think if i read correctly you'd get sued if you use it, but in philly theres shirt stores that have the word "Ill" in the style of our font, but all they had to do was photoshop the logo and take out the "ph" and "ies". However ill still try but i thought since its a concept I'd make something fresh/oldskool. It kinda reminds you of the 60s font they had. And I'm obsessed with the phils cause I'm one of the biggest die hards in this planet lol I was at the vet when we sucked and at game 5 of the world series. Id like to one day make concepts for my favorite team but thats a long shot. I will make more for other teams in the mlb and soon ill upload my flyers concepts. Thanks for your C & C

Here it is with no pinstripes, yea it does look a little better. Other variations to come.

the white boxes around the 17 and the P logo needs to be cleaned up.

Yes, that updated patch without the pinstipes in the middle but not on the outer ring is perfection. Also, I like the scripts. Good job man.

I agree with YessSir32 about your shades of blue and red. It looks like the script and the inner circle are different shades of red with the script being lighter. Same with the bell and the outer ring with the bell being lighter. Fix that and it would look perfect.

Yea I realized that after the fact. Once I mess with more ideas I'll update cleaner ones. However thanks for the reminder.

Thanks alot man, I appreciate your support, btw I checked out the concepts you added today they look excellent!And with the script I wanted to change it up and i think it looks as good or maybe even better than our current, however I like our signature P better lol And i cant for the life of me find a tool or website that can replicate it.

Thanks I liked the stripes b/c we're one of the few teams left that fans associate with pinstripes and since the liberty bells so unique here I thought why not add both. And yes thanks for spotting out the red I'll fix that and to be honest the liberty bells blue is the same i just added an inner glow "FX" on photoshop. I can upload both one with the red updated and another one with the red and no inner glow to see how they look.

Ok I finally got to blending both red and blue throughout the entire patch, so it all matches now. I do think it looks alot better, how bout you?
