Angels and A's wore throwbacks today

I was going to mention this earlier but couldn't find a pic. the angels and a's wore throwback 80's unis today and KCOP 13 (Angels channel) even had Mc Hammer in the booth for a couple innings (it was MC Hammer bobble head night and i assume he also visited the a's booth because of his history with the a's

personally i thought it was one of the top throwback games of the year as im pretty sure everyone went high socks and some a's had the gold sanitary (most looked like they just wore the normal green sock but then again most players wear high top cleats so maybe i didnt see it )

i do wish the a's would have worn these jerseys instead and still wish they would bring it back as an alternate

that's always been my favorite A's uni too. I feel like because they are called the A's just as much, if not more than they Are called the Athletics, they dont need their full nickname on thier jerseys. Besides, I think a more simplistic look works better for them.

i'm probably alone on this, but i personally think their current set is the best they've ever looked. My favorite part is the road hat, goes great with the green jersey. My only complaint is that the yellow jersey needs to stay home, it doesn't look right when worn with the gray pants and all green cap.

I thought both teams wore rather boring uniforms today. It's not often you ever see the home team have their city name on a home uniform while the away club has the team nickname.

These Oakland A's uniforms as mentioned prior are sharp, I totally forgot about these.

some teams have an epic look in their closet they just don't have the brains to wear them these for example the prior mentioned jersey for full-time home jersey, keep the current road, and home alternate and add a green road alternate similar to their 1972 road jersey just make it a full button.

Not crazy about the Athletics' jerseys but that Angels throwback is perfect. They need to bring it back full-time.

I would love to see the A's in a nice kelly green again. Their current dark green puts me to sleep.

The A's should simply have a chest A on all uniforms, and lose the 's from the cap. They should really play up and market their history, and focus less on the Oakland-specific period (though going back to kelly green and a "golder" gold (it almost looks a little orangish in the older pics as opposed to the yellow of today) would be good - it'd be like the colors signify the Oakland A's, while the uniform evokes images of the Phila A's. Nobody remembers the KC A's, so who cares.

I hadn't been paying attention, but MLB Shop has finally gotten their act together and started selling the special edition jerseys on the site again. There was a gap of about 3 years where they hardly carried any of them, and now you can get the hats & jerseys for tons of the special one-off events.

The advent of green and gold would be the Kansas City signification, I suppose.

My preference is Athletics on white, Oakland on grey, A's on yellow at home and green away. A's on white looks too blank to me.
