According to news in LA(where I am this weekend) has been a Bryan Stow like beating after the Raiders-49ers game. More details should come in.

There was more than one. Let's see there was this little gem in the stands... Additionally another man was beaten into an inch of his life in an upper deck bathroom by a large Samoan man and remains in critical condition.

And then after the game was a pair of shootings in the parking lot. The shooter was identified as a Raiders fan, as were the victims. Big shocker there. No team attracts lowlifes and scumbags better than the Raiders. And apparently they're now exporting their brand of crazy across the bay. It won't happen but I really hope they move back to LA. LA and the Raiders were made for each other.

Saints stunk up Reliant Stadium. With a couple of exceptions, they didn't play as if they had any desire whatsoever to be out there. If they don't do some heads-from-a**es extractions they may get humiliated at Lambeau in a couple of weeks.

Nope, sorry. It's not all raiders fans. I've been to Niners Raiders games at both stadiums and the fans who act like that are equally s****y. In fact, when the two teams play, I honestly think idiot Niners fans are worse.

Someone has posted videos of the fighting in the stands and parking lot

I know Raider fans look like the typical people that are shown on MSNBC on the weekend, but San Francisco should be better than that especially after what happened to Bryan Stow.

How will the Colts fare if they have to start the season without Peyton?

Let's just say Jim Irsay is, apparently, really getting desperate.

Oh for God's sake, :censored: no.

Look, as anyone can see from the Colts preseason games and if you can remember two seasons ago against the Jets, I have absolutely no faith in Curtis Painter as an NFL QB. None. But I'd rather suck hard with Curtis Painter (and another year's shoddy Colts defense) for a game or two, than deal with nonsense Brett Favre would bring.

And honestly, the thing I'm more disappointed if Peyton doesn't play, besides the ensuing loss, is his consecutive games streak would end. And then we'd have to rely on Eli to knock off Favre.

Mr. Irsay, I realize it's dire straights for this team if Peyton doesn't play. But don't be driven to insanity over it. Please. It's only a couple games (hopefully). Indy will survive. Peyton will get the team on track when he's back. I'm not worrying about that. However, I'm starting to get worried about what you're doing in the interim.

I got the impression that the Favre thing was a total joke, no?

Upon reading that all again, it looks like it probably is.

Even so... Not funny.

Be prepared, this opinion won't be a popular one.

So you're saying you'd rather start some scrub backup than deal with Favre's baggage? Sure he's gonna bring some BS wherever he goes, but if he's willing to bow out gracefully when Manning returns (maybe I have too much faith here) than why not? I could see the Colts not wanting to touch the Favre's situation and starting Painter, only to watch him get absolutely killed and the Colts miss the playoffs by a game or two. If Favre wants to come back he's going to have to show some humility. Backing up Travarias Jackson is one thing, I don't blame him for not wanting to do that, but it's not much of a knock to sit behind the best QB of this generation.

Oh yeah. In a vacuum, sure I'd take Favre over Painter until Manning came back. No problem there.

But like you said, you're having the faith that he'd be able to come back with some humility. He'd have to be able to bow out gracefully. But I don't think he does that. Hell, in this situation, I could imagine Favre coming back to fill in for those one/two/three games and then when Manning is back, retire again. I just don't see Brett Favre backing anybody up and just hanging out on the sidelines. Especially with a new team. If it was back on the Vikings or back then on the Packers, I could see him just hanging out to be with the boys. But with the Colts, I don't see it.

I know it's just preseason, but Plaxico Burress looked in mid season form tonight, in fact.. he looks quicker than he did with the Giants.

Maybe be a lil too soon to tell, but it's good to see Plax could still fill Braylon's shoes afterall.

I know it's just preseason, but Felix Jones looks like a beast, and our starting o-line, after the first series didn't let the Chargers touch Romo. On Romo's lone touchdown pass, he had about eight seconds of just standing there with no pressure, he could have had more if he wanted but he fired it to Witten (aka BFF). Our defense is looking better, but we still have a lot of work to do.

Given what we've seen of the man in the past few season? I think this is giving him to much credit.

than why not?

Like you said, anywhere Farve goes it turns into a circus. You assume that Farve's going to actually win them a game or two while Manning recovers. This isn't something that can be assumed. He was terrible last season. There's just as much a chance that Farve stinks up the place as much as Painter would. Or worse yet, he gets injured (again) and you're stuck with Painter for a game or two anyway, only now you've wasted the money on Farve and you've invited the distractions that come along with bringing him in.

If Favre wants to come back he's going to have to show some humility.

Again, I find this unlikely. Farve holds teams hostage. He did it in Green Bay, he did it in New York, and he did it in Minnesota. Even as one or two game stopgap, I wouldn't trust him not to do it in Indy.

Backing up Travarias Jackson is one thing, I don't blame him for not wanting to do that,

Jackson gave the Vikings a better shot at winning games last season.

Terrelle Pryor selected in the 3rd round of the NFL Supplemental Draft by the Raiders. Who didn't see that one coming?
