Tampa is playing on short rest on the opposite side of the country.

They didn't walk there.

I could understand a west coast team complaining about a 1 PM eastern time start. I don't think the NFL should play any games involving teams on the west coast that early. But if your an east coast team going out west, you have no excuse.

The Bucs are just getting beat by a better football team today, plain and simple.

No, they look like s**t regardless of the situation. It's just hard to prepare for anyone in three days. Tampa also has a history of playing like crap at Candlestick. I've been to every Bucs Niners game at Candlestick since middle school (thankfully I decided against it this year) and no matter the standings of either team, Tampa always struggles. Adding to that is short rest. I saw this coming from a mike away, it's just frustrating. Oh well though, every team has to have one game a year like this. I'm interested to see what happens when the Niners get into the heart of their schedule.

So this game would be going the same way in Tampa? My point is not to blame the schedule but to say it's really not plain and simple. SF may be better today, and if that's what you meant, fine, but the Niners are not "just a better team" than TB. No way.

See, here's the thing about the NFL: there are no 7-game series. Whoever is the better team from first whistle to last whistle is all that matters.

Not watching the game, but judging from the score I can see the Chargers are underachieving as always.

Rivers just launched a 42 yarder to Floyd, you're up 23-10 at half.

Not for nothing, but I don't think any group of fans complain more about nothing then Charger fans.

I used to think Eagle fans were the worst, but I'm starting to change my mind after meeting a few Charger fans in person. At least Eagle fans tend to be happy after a win.

Ladies and gentlemen, your 2011 NFC West Champions, the San Francisco 49ers. They clinch with a win today right? 31-3 over a good Buccaneers team? Funny game this NFL.

They gotta be the favorites.

I think the Niners are a decent team, but everyone else in that division is just so bad, they might be the only ones to finish over .500 and I think its going to be a situation like last year where 7-9 wins may be all it will take.

The 49ers look better than everyone else in their division, by far. Today isn't indicative of either team though IMO. I don't know what in the hell is wrong with Tampa today. It's going to be interesting to see if the Niners can actually step up against teams that are good and who don't play with their heads a mile up their asses.

Eagles fans whined about McNabb taking them to a gazillion straight NFC East titles. Eagles fans whined about McNabb taking them to the Super Bowl. Eagles fans whined about McNabb putting up Pro Bowl numbers every year with receivers the likes of Freddie Mitchell, Irving Fryar, James Thrash and Todd Pinkston. Eagles fans still whine about how they'd have won multiple Super Bowls by now if they had just taken Ricky Williams instead of McNabb in '99.

Eagles fans whine incessantly about Andy Reid (even before this season's 1-4 start) for not being a "tough guy" like Bill Cowher or Mike Tomlin. Last year Eagles fans spent the season moping about how much better of a team they'd be with Rex Ryan at the helm while their team went on their way to another division title. The year before they spent the year moping about how much better they'd be with Mike Singletary. The year before it was Bill Cowher.

I understand Eagles fans wanting to win, but there's a difference between "not winning" and "not winning enough". When your team finishes 12-4 and your fans still call for the head coach to be fired, something's wrong.

It's not like any team would fire a coach in a year that their team went 12-4. Though if I were the Eagles, I'd get rid of Vick, Young, McCoy, and Jackson and start over.

The Bengals didn't play that well and they still got a win. I think there's promise in this bunch. Andy Dalton and AJ Green will be a really good tandem for years to come.

They ended up winning by ten, but that's very misleading. They were down 4 with at the 2 minute warning and the W required a clutch drive by the offense, and a super clutch 4th and 6 conversion by Dalton to Gresham. The Bengals could've easily lost today. The last touchdown the Bengals scored off the Jags attempted lateral play was just silly

Not disputing any of that. Simply saying Charger fans from what I've heard are just as bad if not worse which is saying alot. Although I do feel the critcism of Andy Reid is well founded. I don't think he's a very good coach myself and even said last week the Eagles should fire him and still stand behind that.

Not saying its entirely Andy Reid's fault, but its tough to argue that firing him will make things worse when your 1-4. I do think they need a different voice in Philly right now.

I think Andy Reid is one of the brightest offensive minds in the NFL today. The Eagles had a dominant team during the 2000s. In twelve full seasons, Reid recorded only two seasons with losing records (one of which was his first year on the job). The only teams that have been consistently better are the Patriots, Colts and Steelers. Pretty good company to keep, if you ask me.

Reid has won 7 division championships in 12 years with one team. If you look at other coaches who accomplished that feat, just about all of them are either in the Hall of Fame or a sure bet to be in on the first ballot (Belichek, Dungy).

"Not a very good coach"? Please. Coaching is about consistency, and Reid has been the very model of consistency for over a decade.

And all of this is coming from a die-hard Redskins fan. I hate the Eagles with a fiery passion and take great pleasure from their struggles this season, but I have nothing but respect for Andy Reid. The man is a great coach who will never get his due in Philly because he's a west-coast guy who went to school at Brigham Young and because he's not a "rah rah" guy who swears and spits and yells at his players all the time.

This is the most embarrassed I've been as a Bucs fan in years. Down 34-3 entering the 4th against the Niners. If I had went to this game, I'd be in about Sacramento by this time. What a gutless performance today.

The team has been in existence for 80 years and has never won an NFL championship, and they've got the worst-behaved fans in the NFL (remember, there's an actual jail in Lincoln Financial Field). They deserve a team that goes winless, but by some fluke, the team beat a Rams team that it shouldn't have because they managed to convince the officials that it was okay to play eighteen on eleven.
