Coaches Poll announced today

Polls are just around to get fans and media alike excited about the upcoming season. Also it's for the casual fan to see who's the best in the country, as well those schools have the inside track to being in the National Championship discussion, though in the BCS era hasn't there only been like two teams to go from start to finish as the number one team.

Not a good sign for the Sooners.

Yes, because Texas did great in that spot to begin last season. Just be careful.

UCF ranked higher than USF is absurd, not that it matters or anyone here really cares.

BJ Daniels is not exactly the most proven quarterback. UCF is coming off a 11-3 year, and are favorites to win the C-USA. Plus they have an outstanding QB in Godfrey. Makes sense to me.

Damn. Just 3/4 points out of the Top 25/24. Ah well. Just have to win, and they'll end up there. Can't wait for that first game against #21 Mizzou. Always good to start out the season with an important game with some consequence. Easier to focus on the start against a quality team rather than Portland State and NAU. First step on the long road to the Pac-12 title game.

Oh, and what else is that I see :P

Illinois is definitely not the third best team in the state. Especially when we took it to Northern and Northwestern last year. Not like the preseason rankings really mean anything anyways.

#34, I like it. I can definitely see a top 15 finish. Go Blue good people.

I think the pre-season poll is kinda pointless really. It's just all hype like writers with their power rankings a month before a season starts. But nonetheless, I like Oklahoma, they're bringing back some key guys and as poised to shine in that conference this year. I think UCF is an underrated team. They did loose a lot of starters on the defensive side of the ball, but George O'Leary has brought some good recruits and JUCO guys in that can jump in and fill needed voids, I think they'll win the C-USA again this year and possibly win another bowl game, they're and up and coming team.
