I know roundels are overdone, but I think they can also look really nice when done well. And this one was done well.Overall, a huge, huge upgrade for the Blue Jays. Generic Posted November 18, 2011 Share Posted November 18, 2011 My favorite aspect of the uniforms is the font. On the uniforms they look perfect, the best touch IMO to modernize the old script. Won't feel the same for any other team. The navy around "Toronto" on the roads is the ONLY thing I would change. Well the numbers are a little "short and squatty" looking. I'd bring in the width a bit and lengthen them a bit, but they're fine if left untouched.Fine job, Jays. The blue jersey looks like a late 80's-early 90's batting practice jersey. The home and road look too plain to me, and the logo on the chest looks out of place. Idk, just my opinion, but I think the 2004-2011 set was better. Their wordmark, names and numbers are all the same - blue with white outline and gold drop-shadow - but for some reason they added a second drop-shadow in navy for the wordmarks alone. Baltimore made an upgrade, Miami has a really-love-it or really-hate-it change, San Diego just a boring change and the BLUE Jays finally have risen from the ashes.
