Blue Jays to change uniforms for next season

Their pseudo-White Sox look is so terrible that I'm willing to give anything a chance. I welcome something unconventional and colorful. There's room enough for outside-the-box designs in fringe markets.

I think he's trying to say that red is the color of the devil or some such nonsense.

Obviously not up on his Renaissance art.

Red is a perfectly appropriate color for angels.

wait...is that REALLY his argument about the so called ridiculousness of Angels wearing red???? Wow...I thought he was just screwing around. I didn't think that Angels had an "official color". Maybe I missed THAT page in the Bible.

Quite honestly, I think the Angels looked much more ridiculous in navy than anything else but thats just my opinion.

I've long said that the Blue Jays could've saved themselves a lot of grief about their uniforms if they had just done this

Dear god no....HORRIBLE!!!!

Hold on. The guy who likes everything thinks these are "HORRIBLE!!!!". Care to elaborate.

I do? News to me. My issue is the logo and the grey. Their current logo needs to go and I understand the grey being one of the true colors of a bluejay, but as for the MLB team, the grey should only be a minor detail on their uni and never on the hat.

I think the grey can just stay on the bluejay and not be incorporated with any thing else.

I can't speak for him specifically, but others have made that argument in the past. Always struck me as silly.

And I don't know what else he could have been talking about.

I work at a Lids part time, when we get hats in for MLB they are usually marked "field" or "style" "Field" meaning for game use, and "style" just meaning for style. This hat was marked as a "field" hat. But this company makes these mistakes on occasion. We have also had this hat in green, and purple (along with other teams) and it was marked "style". I also found it on their website, take a look New Blue Jays hat?

Actually, I wouldn't be terribly shocked if lids screwed up and let the cat out of the bag early. Back when I worked at lids we got a shipment of the new D Backs caps WAY before they were supposed to be released. We called our DM and told her about it and she said not to worry to much but not to put the caps on the shelf until she could call New Era and verify that there wasn't a problem. We got a call back from her about an hour later in a panic telling us to box them back up, not to take any photos, and to basically keep our mouths shut. Not saying that is the new Jays cap, but it's not unheard of either.

I assume they will salvage the logo. But probably have a uniform in the vein of the spring training jerseys. It seems Majestic has been 'soft releasing' side panels onto MLB jerseys for a few years through the spring training/batting practice jerseys. Its only a matter of time until a team adopts it full time.

And they did it with the WBC jerseys in 2009. Back then, we joked about who'd be the first MLB team talked into getting colored COOLBASE side panels. Maybe Toronto got talked into it.

Go Astros!

Go Texans!

Go Rockets!

Go Javelinas!

There is no reason to speculate that they're going to have colored side panels. This is how these things start. Next thing you know there's 30 posts ridiculing them for something that they haven't even done yet.

Well considering that cap has the New Era logo on the side of it, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's not the new cap. Besides, ColorWerx, I believe, has already said he's heard new logos.

No I haven't. I have heard a little bit about them, but I have not seen them.

Evidence also that stirrups are OK for the Angels.

Not to be cryptic, but you guys know the rules (re: Marlins). I will say only this: if you like non-comformity in any way, shape or form, you will love the Miami Marlins.

Something tells me that I am going to really hate these. :puke:

they are orange and black and have a turn ahead of the clock feel to them.

And now I'm visualizing a jersey with no text on the front, just a big ass fish.

I've heard from a couple 'sources' that the new Marlins unis are silver, orange and light blue. I don't think it's orange and black simply based on what I've seen at the new ballpark. At least silver, orange and light blue fits with the new ballpark. How accurate I am, I don't know. Maybe someone whose actually seem them can give us a wink or a nod?

Wow, I might have to break out the SUBLIMATED TIGER STRIPES!!!1 card on this one going by that description :P

Oh, never mind, Warrior hasn't entered baseball yet. And it's the Marlins.

Then again, this does sound pretty bad. Hopefully that silver, orange, and light blue speculation posted recently's the one they go with. As for the Jays, going back to blue would be a welcome change. Hopefully they don't go overboard on red just for the sake of using red for Canada, though

That'd be great, actually.
