BigMac12
I'm surprised that nobody brought up that legendary Braves broadcaster Ernie Johnson. I was watching the Cubs-Braves game on WGN while workig out, and the Cubs broadcast did a special memorial for him.I may not have heard him, but it sounds like the Braves and Major League Baseball have lost another great voice. Brave-Bird 08
Voice of my childhood!
JayJaxon
I mentioned it last night on the MLB thread. But good call starting it's own thread. Like BB08, Ernie Johnson was one of the voices of my childhood. He has been out of the broadcast booth for quite some time now. But he was a wonderful part of the Braves during the glory (and not so glorious years) He will be missed.

pmoehrin
is he related to the guy who does NBA on TNT pregame?Yes. The Ernie Johnson you see on TNT pregame is Ernie Johnson Jr. The Braves announcer is Ernie Johnson Sr.
