Hey guys,

I'm working with RinkGear to put on a logo/jersey redesign contest.

You can get all the details here: http://www.facebook.com/rinkgearjerseys

Below is the text from the site:

One of our local teams is looking for logo and jersey redesign. We will be accepting submissions up until August 24. The winner will get one of the new jerseys, with their choice of name and number ($100 value).

The team name is the ?Pew Pew Lasers?, and the only requirement for the design, is that it has something to do with lasers, preferably laser guns. The penguin is not necessary, but it?s something you might consider.

The jersey will be sublimated, which means there is no limit as to what you can do with the design. You can have graphics anywhere on the front, back, and arms.

There must be place for the players name and number on the back. The main color of the jersey should also be unique enough not to blend in with some of the other teams (generally blue, black, white, red).

Please submit your design to: info@rinkgear.com

The winner will be announced on August 25.

Thank you, and best of luck to all :)

To make it more interesting, please upload your concepts here as well as submitting them to RinkGear.

The contest closes on August 24.

Let's make this fun!

damien...What's Pew Pew? Is it a penguin? What's the significance of the penguin?

The penguin has no meaningful connection to the concept, it was just a silly idea that they came up with originally.

Pew Pew, is as Shumway stated, the sound of the laser gun.

You could go the route of just playing off the laser gun idea, or if you decided to incorporate the penguin, it might be cool to have a bad-ass penguin (stubby cigar at the side of mouth, Rambo headband, etc.).

It's very much an open concept design, with full creative flexibility.
