JJSCOTT
I like the idea of a dark green or a maroon as a base color... I would say has to be the right shade of green though cause with the bill don't want people's first thought to be its a mutant mallard with a tail
ldswoosh33
A brown, gold and silver scheme Romans 5:8 NikoLazar.com
Gregmond
The straight fast-swimming look you're trying to capture is good, but I think you would get more out of putting the platypus mid-turn ... kinda like on the Australia 20-cent piece:It gives you a nice bit of space to add your city name and any other graphic you want to use where the "20" sits on the coin, but also has a lot more definition than the straight version you've been using. BigBubba
In terms of the colour scheme, I think that red would just be a bad idea. Nobody cares about your humungous-big signature. PotD: 29/1/

fumbler
That is 100% better than the second one, good idea going back to a diving platypus. RICHMOND TIGERS
Patchey13
I think it either needs to be at more of a curve, or the body needs to be shortened.
missouri tigers
Nice. This actually looks like a sports logo, or any kind of logo for that matter. The previous two just looked like cartoony sketches, but this one I can actually picture as a logo. north dakota
I would make the platypus teal and have the team colors be teal and orange. Woah! You think I'm Cody? My name is Carl Scott Simone and we just happen to share a birthday. BIG DEAL.
JJSCOTT
very nice change much better maybe as mentioned just shorten up the body a lil bit major upgrade there is more movement and shape to this one over the original
Crash
Much better! I can really see the potential in this newest sketch. The speed lines / shading needs some work, and the tail needs a little more separation from the body, but I think you're on the right track. This probably wouldn't work on a football helmet, though, just because of the shape of and space on a helmet. Helmet logos are generally longer than they are tall or square at worst. It would look great on t-shirts and other merchandise, though, and if you keep it simple enough, it'll look great on a ball cap.As for colors, I would suggest black (the only color the Ducks and Beavers agree on) with either orange and green or orange and yellow (one from each college). I think that black, orange, and green could look really nice and it's a unique color scheme.

Gregmond
Here's another sketch:BRILLIANT ... massive upgrade.I hate to be traditional, but I think a Platypus needs to be brown, or at least some other early tone. neo_prankster
I would make the platypus teal and have the team colors be teal and orange.See that's the problem. The challenge I'm having with color schemes is that I don't want to just re-create Perry the way the Oregon Ducks appropriated Donald. leggman01
since you're trying to marry oregon/oregon state, try combining their colors...the latest upgrade is outstanding!
Patchey13
Teal, orange and brown WOULD be a pretty cool colour scheme though.
BigBubba
I would still use teal and orange, just not in the same way as Perry. Alter where goes where. Don't think of it as "re-creating" it, think of it as "paying Homage". Nobody cares about your humungous-big signature. PotD: 29/1/
