Holy god, that was much needed.

Next step: fix the sharks sweaters by ditching the orange.

Something about that dorsal fin is REALLY weird.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Agreed. That, along with the chest numbers, are the only things that are keeping the Sharks from having possibly the best set in the league. Just replace orange with silver, and voila. Done.

I disagree. The use of orange on those jerseys is very subtle and adds some much needed colour to the palette. This is the best the Sharks have ever looked, especially the Teal Home. I agree about the front numbers though.

Any amount of bright orange you put on a black/teal sweater is going to be FAR from subtle.

The reason I hate the orange is that it looks SO misplaced in that color palette, especially for a team called the Sharks.

Case in point:

This is why San Jose's scheme sans orange works, because teal-black-silver, as seen in this photo (different shades, yes, but similar), is a prominent "deep-sea" scheme, if that makes any sense. It's really a fine scheme as is. Orange just looks and seems misplaced.

(sorry it sounds so rushed, as I'm in a hurry, but I just wanted to throw that out there real quick. Just my humble opinion, as always.)

I agree, the dorsal fin does look weird, but it's a major upgrade.

It is way too big (high) and too close to the sharks head.

It was probably a inclusion they did not need.

Look at Pic in above post.

Spot on. Put the silver back in for the out of place orange and the Sharks would look far better.

On the name change, I wonder if it has anything to do with one of the SVSE founders leaving the Sharks ownership group to potentially buy the Coyotes.
