Their uniforms have been like that for a while now. For some damn reason it doesnt bother me...maybe because I always have bad expectations for high school teams.

Also, you will notice three other things from this game. 1) St. Thomas' jerseys are odd. They look like Nike PC cut from the front, and have flywire, but the back of the jersey is stitched differently than the PC jerseys. 2) Interesting to note Prattville's font is the same as Louisville. Probably because it was easier to replicate. 3) A lot of Prattville players are wearing the Revo 360 helmet we've been waiting to see, as well as the new Spalding helmets.

Yeah, they were doing it my senior year (2001 season) when we beat them in the state championship, and I think it long predates that.

Not Spaulding...Rawlings is back in the football helmet game; which makes sense as the company is the official helmet of MLB: Rawlings Football website

I see what you did there. :ninja:

both teams looked bland in that one. South Panola and Hoover both look pretty good. Hoover UA uni's look alot better than Maryland's. S Panola looks alot like Ole Miss.

I am sore, wounded, but not slain

I will lay down and bleed a while

And then rise up to fight again

I noticed last night that Columbus East (Gunner Keil's team) also used the Louisville font on their jerseys. Looked like an old set from Louisville that had gone orange. Same shoulder insets and same pants as this set.

So far the worst high school uniforms we've seen this weekend have been Bishop Gorman.

I had no problem with the mismatching golds. What I had a real problem with was the fact that Pratville at least on the QB had the lion head logo on backwards.

I didn't see the game so I'm not positive what youre talking about, but their logo is also a P, so on one side of the helmet the lion head faces forward, while on the other side it faces backwards, so in both cases the P is facing the proper direction

You can kind of see it in this picture

Uggh, my high school had this same problem for awhile. My freshman year they switched from athletic gold to Vegas gold and decided to spray all of the old helmets with the new gold. The varsity team looked great, considering they got new uniforms every season, but the JV and Freshman teams still had the old yellow gold trim. We looked like absolute trash. The only thing worse was our play. I lost every game I played in untill I got to varsity end of my sophomore season and actually got matching uniforms. As lame as it may seem, I really do feel that looking good on the field helps your play. When your young and on a bad team and you take the field looking like an absolute joke, it just makes the whole thing even more of an uphill battle.

I think the Lion faces different ways because the lion's mane makes a "p" for Prattville.
