What the Bills did to those defenses contributed to the rankings directly. You have to keep that in mind, especially considering they're the highest scoring team in the league.

Based on my opinions on the teams' performances in Week 3 games, factored in with their remaining schedule and what they've done thusfar this season.

The Bills won't start losing games unless good players start to get injured. If Fitzpatrick gets injured for the rest of the year next game the Bills would probably go 3-13. Fitzpatrick makes a huge difference for the Bills. Even as a Bills fan I still don't think the Bills are a top 5 team in the NFL right now.

I'm a Bills fan and I'm with you. I think how they perform at Cincinnati will go a long way to proving whether they're good or not. If they blow them out a la Kansas City, then I'm feeling more optimistic about their playoff chances. If they get into a come-from-behind shootout on the road, or worse yet, lose? Then it's time to get a bit more real.

It's heartening that their wins have come from scoring-at-will games against two of the better teams in the AFC so far, but we're still only 3 games in.

The 3 games in thing goes for all rankings -- I think you need a bit more time to really have a sense of who's better than who.

That said, football season is WAY more fun when you're team is playing well.

Although I may agree with you about the Skins playing better football than the Giants, arguing another poster's Power Rankings is meaningless. If you're so adamant about the Skins being better than the Giants, then why don't you submit your own rankings for critique?

Its not so much the Bucs got better so much as everyone in front of them got worse. Jets fell, Falcons fell, Bears and Bills didn't show me anything different from what I think they are which is about an average football team in both cases. Raiders got destroyed by New England at home. And if you look at where I have the Eagles, the Niners beating them wasn't that impressive. They are a 1-3 team. They are bad right now. They lose to Buffalo they are 1-4.

Tampa just went up by default. They also made the playoffs last year and I would consider them a good bet to potentially make the playofs this year at this point. They're 3-1 right now and I don't think anyone belives Tampa played at their best when they beat Indy and to me a sign of a good team is a team that can win when they don't play at their best. That's why I wasn't big on Buffalo and still am not. They won two close games at home in which they were firing on all cylinders. All they showed to me was that when they are at their best at home they can beat anybody. When they aren't at their best though, they can't even beat Cincy. That's an average football team.

Eagles at 19, then Redskins at 20? Giants at 16 even though they lost head-to-head against the Redskins by two touchdowns?

Redskins at 20 is an absolute joke. The Skins are 3-1, with their only loss being a 2-point slobber-knocker at Dallas that went down to the very last play.

All they showed to me was that when they are at their best at home they can beat anybody. When they aren't at their best though, they can't even beat Cincy. That's an average football team.

What?

You can say that about any team in the NFL. If Buffalo is an average football team, how did they beat New England, who you have ranked at 2? If Jacksonville is so bad, how did they beat Tennessee, who you have ranked at 9?

Think you know my opinion of the NFC East this year. The only teams they've shown they can beat on are teams in their own division and the NFC West. No team in the NFC East has won a game yet against a team in any other division besides the NFC West.

And who have the Redskins beaten to get to 3-1? The Giants, Cardinals and Rams.

I'm not buying any of those teams right now as serious Super Bowl contendors. If they weren't playing the NFC West so much early in the season, its possible none of those teams would be over .500

As for Tennessee I'm buying them as a good team especially if they can beat Pittsburgh on the road this week. That's going to be a tough game for them.

Before I read DCduck's post I said the exact same thing he did. The Titans loose to the Jags and are 8th ,and the Redskins at 20 and the Eagles at 19? That jumped right out the ing screen for me.

The Buccaneers are WAY better than the 49ers. This weekend will show that. Tampa should beat the hell outta the Niners, despite playing after a short week and traveling all the way across the country.

I'm not really comparing those two against each other just saying the moves each made in the rankings seemed to be too little for the Niners and too much for the Bucs."WAY" better? We'll see. I like Tampa. They have a good up n coming team and should win that division. I think people are sleeping on the 49ers so far, sure I still don't like Smith as QB but the team has a better feel about them this year and I can only see them improving as the year goes on.
