You can take Arizona out of the tournament..............................

I wouldn't take them out yet, but if they struggle in the tournament than they may go in as a low seed. But still love the fact that the Mildcats lose to the Devils. Fork 'Em Devils!

Michigan, Ohio State and Michigan State 3 way Big Ten Champions. ASU beat Arizona. Fork Em Devils. Hell of a win, now hoping that Arizona struggles in the Pac-12 tourney and have to play in the NIT! Sean Miller a hero, nope a zero!

Florida gets spanked by Kentucky. Those Wildcats are scary good.

Story B: Red Wings go undefeated and score 100 goals in every game. They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy.

Entering today, some people had Arizona in, and some had them out. It is by far our worst loss of the year and at the worse possible time. We will need to beat at least UCLA and UW in the Pac-10 tourney this week to be in. To put in perspective how bad the loss was, ASU has the 205 RPI, scored 8 points in a half this year(against a mediocre WSU team), and lost to the worst team in the BIG SKY conference(Northern Arizona). This was a game where there was no excuses to lose and we did. In addition, our defense, which was a strength this year, turned into turnstiles the 2nd half.

-Somewhere in Indiana, crashcarson is smiling like that damn cat from Alice in Wonderland right now... Why? Butler is getting their asses handed to them by Valpo (as of this moment, it's a 21 point lead for Valpo with under 6 minutes left)

This Florida team is more talented than the 2011 team, but they are not a better team.

The senior leadership they had with Parsons and Macklin is simply not there this year. Oh well. Not like they were going to beat a team like Kentucky anyway.

I'd be stunned if Kentucky didn't win the championship.

It had nothing to do with Arizona or ASU. I don't care about either of them.

Arizona lost... big freaking deal. Personally, they ought to be banished to the CBI or the CIT if they (somehow) win the Pac-12 tourny. No team should lose to a hapless team like Northern Arizona and be allowed in the NCAA's.

Now, heading into tomorrow's Conference Championship action.

CAA Championship - Richmond, VA

#2 VCU Rams vs. #1 Drexel Dragons

Records

VCU: 27-6 (15-3)

DREXEL: 27-5 (16-2)

The CAA has flexed it's muscles once again in proving why it's one of the best, if not the best, mid major conferences in the nation. But, even with the amount of power at the top... it may get only one bid and it comes down to the league's best two teams. VCU comes back from last season's miracle run from the First Four to the Final Four while Drexel hopes to exorcise some personal demons in this game

Metro Atlantic Championship - Springfield, MA

#4 Fairfield Stags vs. #2 Loyola (Maryland) Grayhounds

Records

FAIR: 19-13 (12-6)

L-MD: 23-8 (13-5)

Iona was the team to beat in the MAAC tourny, but they got tripped up by a stubborn Fairfield team that just doesn't seem to quit. The Stags now face a Loyola of Maryland team that is hungry for the chance to reach the NCAA's for the first time in a long, long time

West Coast Championship - Las Vegas, NV

#2 Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. #1 St. Mary's Gaels

Records

GONZ: 25-5 (13-3)

SMC: 26-5 (14-2)

A tale of souls and hoops, eternally retold... *busts out laughing* Sorry, but it feels like that I have to bust out the reworked version of the line from the Soul Calibur games for this game because it always seems to be these two teams that face off for the WCC Championship, even with BYU joining the league this season, it's still Gonzaga and St. Mary's in the title game, and it won't matter who wins because they both know their fates

Southern Championship - Asheville, NC

North #3 Western Carolina Catamounts vs. South #1 Davidson Wildcats

Records

WCU: 17-17 (8-10)

DAV: 24-7 (16-2)

Davidson has ran roughshod through the SoCon this season, spurred by the upset of Kansas (in Kansas City) early in the season. The Wildcats now face a red hot Western Carolina team that has won seven in a row, including the last three game (all in the SoCon Tourny)

Probably the only big win ASU will have all season, and it's damn sweet to get that win over UA. If ASU's basketball team going to burn up in flaming effigy this season, there's no reason to not bring UA down with them.

Have to admit it was a pretty damn good game, wouldn't ya say KevRich? (You're not as sly as you think you are... but, in the words of a great philosopher "nvm".)
