2011 MLB Postseason

Recommended Posts

Speaking of the Yankees, bet they wish they still had 2011's version of "Fear The Beard", Ian Kennedy.

His stuff for the D-Backs this year has been NAILS.

Is anybody shocked that the D-backs didn't give up more that 1 run when the Brewers loaded the bases in the 4th?

As much of a pessimist you are, that could've been bad for Zona.

Also thought the D-Backs dodged a huge bullet there. However, momentum is definitely on Milwaukee's side now. We'll see where it takes them in the final 4 innings.

Rickie Weeks bunting with 2 men on... Ooookaaaayyyy....

Update: Betancourt comes through again, and the Brewers grab the lead!

There's squirrels on the field in Philly. I mean that literally.

Dang, that squirrel must of made a mad dash from St. Louis to Philadelphia.

D'backs load the bases on K-Rod and get nothing out of it. That, right there, is your kiss of death.

The sad part is that we hit grand slams in the previous 4 home games at Chase Field (regular and post season.)

****, D-backs get 3 straight hits to tie up the game in the top of the 9th.

Take out that fork, this team still has some life.

Betancourt saves Axford's @$$ for the moment, but may have hurt his ankle in the process.

Update: His ankle is OK, but he can't get it done at the plate, nor can the other Milwaukee batters. We're going to a 10th.

Side note: Hernandez is still on the mound for Arizona, but for some reason Brewers announcer Bob Uecker thinks it's J.J. Putz.

At least Axford got his $#!t back together in the top of the 10th.

Now Putz is actually in the game (and yes, Uecker did realize his mistake from last inning).

Baseball...so good...

This kind of series is what makes baseball exciting - two young teams fighting it out in extra innings in a winner-take-all game. It seems like either team can win, even with Milwaukee's dominance at home.

Grienke is now warming up. This could throw quite a wrench into the Brewers' starting rotation if they advance.

You can't worry about that. All hands on deck. Who cares about the NLCS rotation if you lose today?

Got to go with whomever the best option is right now. Doesn't matter if it's a reliever or starter.
