futureishere
So I've been peeking around these forums for like the past month, and I could've sworn I saw someone mention how to add/change a number to a jersey and have it flow nicely with the jersey and not look like someone just did the type tool and called it a day. I looked around and didn't see it, so just figured I would start posting so I could ask if someone could help me out? I only ask because I messed around with a Nike pro combat pic and wanted to add in my own number and not the number given. And I made my own template (probably a fairly average one) because I saw the small uproar in a template thread a few weeks back.so yeah, number on a jersey? thanks in advance. MattD1972
On Photoshop, the easiest way I've seen is to rasterize the layer and use a spherizing filter (filter-> distort->spherize).If it still looks wrong (and it frequently does), I recommend using the warp tool (edit->transformation->warp) to tweak it into shape.I'm sure that people that have done this longer than the 3 years that I've worked with templates on Photoshop have other methods. futureishere
Tried a few different ways, wasn't quite getting it. Ended up using displacement earlier, and it looks to be doing its job. unless someone knows of a better technique, or if I should spend more time with the spherizing/warping? but thanks though, I had never used that distorting filter before, may come in handy down the road.
