AnythingChicago Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 I've extended the deadline to November 30. I guess I was expecting a little more interest than I got. The way this is going, I think I might set a deadline for sending in concepts once I get 15 applicants. But that could take a while at this rate. Please, if you've finished your concepts send them to me so I know that you're committed to this.
AnythingChicago Posted November 7, 2011 Author Posted November 7, 2011 Gonna take my home city of Detroit as well. Since Griffinmarlins is planning on doing it already, I think relaxing the guidelines might be smart (especially if you want more entries). Throwing this out there, anything within 100 miles of the major city? If so, I'm in. I am also taking the more unconventional route-- I respect the Wings/Tigers too much to mess with their styles -Hockey- Windsor Spitfires (5 miles)-Baseball- Toledo Mudhens (Tigers affiliate, 61 miles)-Football- Oakland University (31 miles)-Basketball- Eastern Michigan (11 miles)Uh oh. I just realized now that this should not have been approved, as you did not use at least 2 pro teams. However, since I didn't realize this until now, I'll let you off the hook. But just a reminder for future applicants: make sure you have at least 2 pro teams. I'll be keeping an extra eye out in light of my recent blunder.

Hence, the Mudhens and Spitfires will work, at least that was my understanding.

This way the groups would be more even.

AnythingChicago Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 Bump. I'm looking for 2 more people, then I'll set a deadline for sending in concepts and getting this show on the road. But for the remaining 11 applicants that haven't sent in their concepts for baseball particularly (I've received baseball concepts from only Griffinmarlins and Moseph) do not hesitate to do that now.
AnythingChicago Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 Bump, as well as an announcement regarding a change in the rules. There will not be two separate polls for voting, but one combined poll. This way the standings will be more accurate, and I don't see the need for two polls with the decreased interest. All other rules stand.
AnythingChicago Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 The deadlines have been changed. The deadline for applying is now Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:59 PM EST. Also, the deadline for sending in baseball concepts for those who have already applied is Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 11:59 PM EST. So let's get crackin'!
