slapshot Posted October 20, 2011 Share Posted October 20, 2011 It's the same font as like every minor-league baseball team now.That's just Triple-A!SkySox, Express and MudHens were all designed by Studio Simon, so it's not surprising there would be typographic similarities.IronPigs is Plan B, I think.Don't remember who designed the Zephyrs. mfoster Posted October 20, 2011 Share Posted October 20, 2011 I've lived in Illinois- granted, an urban part- my whole life and I had never heard of a Prairie Chicken/Boomer. It's a nickname that educates. When I first heard the name I thought the mascot would look like a Norman horsepig (I'm not sure if the blue-eyed one is Boomer or Sooner, but you get the idea)...
