Tomahawk10
Somebody did a concept several years ago on here with the feather pattern on (more or less) their current jerseys. It looked awesome. I don't remember who did it (upon searching, it might've been Anomalied), but it was far and away one of my favorite concepts on here.http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/75307-mlb-jerseys-by-kevinmets/page__view__findpost__p__1390278Not the one Iw as thinking of, but those are pretty nice. The one I remember didn't have contrasting sleeves. It was from when I first signed up for the site. Was it mine? (This is from a few years back.)That is AWESOME. I prefer the current cap to that one but otherwise I like that a lot.

This is one of the best concepts I've seen in a while and if they went this way, I'd be very happy.
Magnum
And I'd have to agree. Would be nice if they'd switch over to those. Their current color scheme just reminds me of the 90's and the Bobby Cox years. Not that there's anything wrong with that but a change is always nice after 25 years ... The Braves current look, er, home and roads minus the all navy cap at least, is bordering on classic. Other than maybe making the tomahawk navy, nothing needs to change, aside from ditching the aforementioned "road" cap. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall

I think it gives the road uniform some good balance. The red billed cap is too much on the road. The Braves IMO have one of the most classic sets in baseball. The 1969 team wore all navy hat with white A (different jersey set). The traditional red brimmed cap is still awesome, I just don't hate the all navy hat as many on here do. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

The red brimmed cap IS the Braves (as far as headwear goes) and goes perfectly with both sets. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall

Well done!I agree' date=' but I even like the navy road cap. I think it gives the road uniform some good balance. The red billed cap is too much on the road. The Braves IMO have one of the most classic sets in baseball.[/quote']I have to disagree 100%. There is zero balance with the red on the jerseys and an all navy cap. I prefer just their regular home cap with the red brim, but if the Braves insist on having a navy crown/navy brim cap then I think they should at least have a red outline for the "A" ...just my opinion though. Watching them play on the road absolutely makes me cringe though between what I've just mentioned and the horrible navy alt with navy letters/numbers.The cap itself is fine' date=' but the complete lack of red makes it absolutely wrong for the road uniforms. The red brimmed cap IS the Braves (as far as headwear goes) and goes perfectly with both sets.[/quote']EXACTLY! I think they should only wear that hat with the navy alt, although I wouldn't terribly mind if they ditched both

I know double outlining is consistent with the old uni but think loosing it would improve the look and make a nice tie between the old and new looks. TheOldRoman
I disagree 100% that the Braves should switch to that or would upgrade by switching to it. Does it look bad? No. It is clean and keeps a lot of the aspects of the Braves' look. However, the inner outline on the wordmark and numbers is bad and the leaf should be on both sides if it is coming out of the piping and not detached like a patch. This also ditches the Braves' signature triple striping. Most importantly, the Braves shouldn't switch to those because they have a classic, iconic look which is also one of the best in baseball, despite their recent efforts to bastardize it with the road cap and erode it with multiple alternate jerseys. So, the concept is good, but not better than what they have.

I'm not on the navy tomahawk bandwagon, I like the red one just fine, maybe because it's all I've known (I was born during the '86-87 offseason, but navy doesn't look so bad.Honestly I don't want to see the uniforms ever changed, aside from the home cap going on the road (tomahawk cap is fine for one game a week, if they're at home) because the uniform and that logo with the red tomahawk just look like an old friend. If big changes ever do come about there are definitely some great concepts to pick from. With all due respect, nothing tops what they wear now at least for me.
