2011-12 NBA Season

To me, it's laughable that people believed Wade was the best SG in the NBA right now. I think that belongs to Kobe. The Heat are terrible however. The only player who is really any good on that team is LeBron. The Heat aren't losing because of him. And I agree with the notion that Spoelstra is an awful head coach. He's making Del Negro look like a great coach.

The Heat aren't terrible. The Bobcats are terrible. The Heat just aren't playing well. They're still a damn good team.

LeBron makes stupid turnovers and can't run the offense. Other than that, he's great. Wade may not be 2006 DWade, but he's still a good player, though injuries have taken their toll. He's still a top 5 SG. Bosh is pretty good. There are other good players than LeBron on that team.

Truth.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Heat moved Wade. He's just not the same player that he was four or five years ago.

If I'm running that team, that's the move I make. Granted, it was during the regular season, and the competition wasn't the same, but they went 11-1 with Wade out of the lineup. Do the Lakers go 11-1 without Kobe, do the Thunder go 11-1 without Durant, etc.? 11-1 without Wade says something. I'm not sure what it says, but you can't overlook it. It makes the idea of moving him something that the Heat should at least take a long look at. But I'm not running the team. The reality is, if the Heat lose this series, I think Spoelstra gets the axe and they try one more season of the "big three" with a new coach. To break up the big three after just two seasons means Pat Riley is admitting that he made a really bad mistake. That's not likely to happen.

To me, it's laughable that people believed Wade was the best SG in the NBA right now. I think that belongs to Kobe. The Heat are terrible however.

Number one Lakers homer on the boards states that Kobe is the best SG in the NBA. And in other news, Thursday will follow Wednesday again this week. :P (I don't necessarily disagree, it's just pretty predictable coming from you)

Also, the Heat are far from "terrible." They're a very good team with some great talent. In the playoffs, a team needs to be "pointed in the same direction." The problem with the Heat is that they are "pointed" in 20 different directions. Some of may just be bad coaching, some of it may just be bad chemistry, what's certain is that most all of it isn't working as intended.

I know Phil Jackson is licking his chops right now.

I think it will be Pat Riley, but the point remains.

Yeah. Besides, I'm almost positive that Jackson wouldn't want to work for Riley.

I can see why Sonics fans would hate this team, and they have that right. But man are the Thunder a fun team to watch. Durant is unbelieveable, the crowd is nuts, and they even have a freaking band. This is like Hoosiers all over again. Whoever comes out of the East is gonna have one helluva battle on their hands with this team.

Congrats on the Thunder on reaching the Finals.

I'm really shocked that the Spurs didn't reach the Finals. I'm not saying they're chockers (sp?), but they really collapsed. They were 2 wins from the Finals and let OKC win 4 straight.

I can't hold it against San Antonio. The Thunder are very, very good and have the best player in the league in Kevin Durant surrounded by a lot of talent in Westbrook, Harden, and even Ibaka. Not to mention the Thunder have young legs where the key guys on San Antonion are old, which showed towards the end of this one.

Should've been the Sonics.

Sonics never would have gotten here.

Umm.. Why not? They did in '79 and '96. It's not like they were some snakebitten franchise like the Clippers or something.

Different ownership. There's been a decent amount of stuff put out from former Sonics insiders that Howard Schultz never would have paid out the money necessary to put together (or keep) the group of players the Thunder have assembled. Now another owner may have, but at that point you've got so many butterfly wings flapping that LeBron James has probably become a Clipper while we weren't looking.
