The NFL didn't think a team could draw in Baltimore, but the Stallions finished first and second in attendance for the two years they played. The NFL didn't think a team could draw in Baltimore, but the Stallions finished first and second in attendance for the two years they played.They were easily the most successful US based team--on & off the field.There are still Stallion fans around.They also had great helmets... BBTV Posted December 6, 2011 Share Posted December 6, 2011 If we're just complaining about rules we don't like, then I'll submit the "running into the kicker" rule as the worst one in football.I totally understand "roughing" the kicker, but "running into" the kicker is so often unintentional and just encourages kickers to take dives. It can have a major impact on key situations of a game too.I'll also add the "all facemasks are personal fouls" penalty as the second worst in football. At least under the old system, if you accidentally grazed or grabbed a facemask, you had an incentive to just let go really quickly, because it might only be a 5 yard penalty. Now, even if it's just a graze, you might as well get your money's worth and just pull the guy down by it, because it's 15 yards either way. I think their rule actually makes for more severe grabs, since a graze is penalized as much as a neck-twisting yank.
