I understand that this is a Twitter pic, but is that darker shade black or navy? Looks black in this picture.

Navy. The Bills' navy essentially looks black though. Probably because of the thinness?

Here's the Bills sheet from Colorwerx:

Sure looks navy to me

To respond to my own reply regarding the Texans pink seats for tonight, here's a pic a buddy of mine posted on facebook about an hour ago from Reliant Stadium. It appears they have put pink towels or t-shirts on all the seats for the game. My guess is a handful of people wear the shirts, but I would be shocked if it looks significant on television. My guess is that most fans will appreciate the gesture and keep the shirt/towel, but not really do much with it during the game.

Philadelphia gave out pink towels to every fan today as well. I left mine under my seat, unfortunately.

Tom Brady's helmet always seemed to ride high in the back neck area. I liked that. There was always sonething different about his helmet. Was it different?

Brady's tried different helmets before but they never seem to stick - last year in pre-season and for at least 1-2 regular season games he was trying out a Schutt Air XP but he switched back to the old VSR-4. I also recall seeing him with a Revo Speed in some mini-camp shots from 2010 or 2009 (the same year a lot of QBs switched over to the Speed like Cutler, Schaub, and Cassel) but by regular camp he was back with the regular helmet.

Not only was Brady a VSR-4 hold-out I read somewhere that Brady actually uses the internal padding from the 1990s version of the VSR-4 so that is one reason why it puffs up off his head and the padding sticks out from under the back.

If Brady has made a permanent change that leave 4 QB holdouts still wearing a VSR-4 this year -Brees, Flacco, Freeman, and Rivers. There are no QBs currently wearing the old Schutt Air Advantages any more - anyone who was has either moved to an Air XP or to the Rawlings helmets.

On the Helmet topic, what helmet is Eli Manning wearing this year?

I think Eli's wearing that new Schutt Vengence helmet but with a DNA Facemask instead of one of the new ones specfically designed for the Vengence.

A really really dark navy. It actually looks like a darker version of the Eagles midnight green and the Jaguars teal.

Good one!!

I was listening to the pregame show on iRadio, WGR the Buffalo-NY station.

When Howard Simon announced the Bills would be wearing blue pants today I was breakdancing on the coffee table in my living room clappy.gif... after I was out of shock that is.

Viagra or the bottle of Jergens was never needed ...

Was like the early 80s again ... The only thing missing was Chuck Knox on the sidelines instead of that idiot Chan Gailey who has Brad Smith throw into coverage in the endzone and get intercepted by Patrick Peterson rather than run the ball and wind down the clock like we were effectively doing late in the 4th qtr.

Now if these idiotic equipment managers could get the socks right when wearing the blue away pants, I can die a happy-man

GO BILLS!!! billflag.gif

P.S. There's no apostrophe needed in Jergens

I think he's right. There's something about this that is so black, it's like... "How much more black could this be?" And the answer is... none. None more black.

That black has been turned up to 11.

Just noticed this...Check out Driver's jersey modification. It looks like he purposely modified his uniform into a flytoliet collar configuration. I also noticed it on Charles Woodson too..

Packers players have been doing that for at least ten years. The first time I noticed it was Donald Driver in 2003.

Yeah it's been around for a while now. Every week it seems I ask myself what the purpose of it is. Maybe because the front part of the collar irritates them? I have clue why and have always wondered.

I would like to see Kelly green and anthracite. Classic. And modern.

Not to dig up an older post, but I'd like to see someone do this concept (or something similar) for the Eagles. I myself just might if I have time and no one else takes up the offer.

Well, since the Eagles already use dark gray, and since "anthracite" is just Nike's kewl way of saying dark gray, you can just post a picture of the current Eagle uniform, and there you go.
