FSU played two, TWO, FCS teams. They are in no way, shape, or form deserving of any right to play for the national championship. Let's just clear that up.

I don't know what I would enjoy more, Notre Dame blowing it at the end by losing to USC or getting stomped by Alabama...

West Virginia pulled out on them with little notice. They had no choice.

That's too bad. Their body of work is not impressive enough over what effectively was a 10 game schedule.

Aaaaand once again, it'll be an SEC team that wins the BCS. Either Alabama will beat the tar out of Notre Dame, or more likely ND will lose next week to SC and Bama will beat Georgia.

Sigh. I really hate the end of the season in college football.

If K State and Oregon lose tonight and Alabama finds it way back into the championship game...or even the total nightmare for your non-SEC folk, that they play UGA in the National Championship- like last year and years before, focus your blame on those teams who lost. It wasn't the SEC's fault or some crazy conspiracy.

There will not be an SEC CG rematch in the National Championship Game. Notre Dame's not losing to USC and even if they did, Florida State's still lurking around and will have a nice enough resume if they pick off Florida. Also, the humans will intervene to prevent that if possible. They won't prevent Alabama from beating either Notre Dame or Florida State badly, but at the least there will not be a Championship Game rematch.

I know it is very unlikely. Just playing my part here and stating the possibilities and attempting to prepare this community for what they would hate to see.

I just don't want to hear the excuses this year when there were others who had the chance...like last year.

About the only All-SEC championship scenario I can see that won't generating an overwhelming national hue and cry over pre-game would be specifically one-loss Florida vs Alabama. Mind you that's only going to be pregame because putting Florida's offense on national tv in a championship setting with 6 weeks of rust is a Geneva violation and folks will call the BCS out on it once they figure it out.

EDIT-Also, :censored: Ohio State and specifically Gene Smith. We're also in this boat because your sad sack 6-6 team last year HAD to play in the goddamn Gator Bowl. And now look at you. You're going to have an undefeated season slip away into nothingness.

God damnit Oregon and K-State. I was looking forward to a NC without a SEC team, but apparently no team outside of the South is any good.

I'm forced to root for Notre Dame now. They only need to win two more games to ensure an end to the monopoly that is the SEC.

However, imagine if we had a 16-team playoff this year instead of the stupid, but better than two-team playoff, commencing in 2014... This would be a great season.

Nope. There will be no repeat of the SEC championship game in the NCG. If anything, it will be Florida or Oregon (if they make the Pac 12 game)

Just to create some positive self-spin: This will easily be the most important Florida-Florida St. game since the '90s. It's already the first one with both teams ranked since 2003, now it's the first one with NCG implications on the line since, what, 1996?

Florida's offense is an absolute nightmare, however. I can't see them hanging with the explosive offense the 'Noles have. I've been wrong before, and I hope I'm wrong again next week.

Brian Kelly must have made one hell of a contract with Lucifer to have this happen to him. I am sternly rooting for USC next weekend because I do not want Notre Dame to back into the National Championship game thanks to a missed FG, a bad call from the referees, and the Big Ten's ineptitude.

My mistake, not Georgia, Florida.

But you would rather have Alabama back to the National Championship game for those exact same reasons?

I'll also be rooting for Florida State and Georgia to win their respective games. When all cycles back around, Oregon should be in line to play Georgia in the National Championship.

Am I the only one happy about the Ducks getting exposed? The hype around that team was sickening.

Losing on OT to a ranked team is being "exposed"? K-State might have been exposed, but I say Oregon just got beat.

No, I'd say they were exposed. Once again, when met with a tough, talented defense, that highly-touted Oregon offense sputtered and wheezed... plus, Chip Kelly didn't help matters with his lackluster playcalling.

F*** Baylor and Stanford. The SEC will win the national championship again and will not shut up. Watch Oregon to drop past 10th in the polls now.

Here's praying Notre Dame (symbolic isn't it) sends whoever SEC team plays them in Miami down to hell, along with their Romney/Reagan/Republican fan base. Sick and tired of them.

Yes. It started two years ago, when Lucifer ordered Kelly to put Declan Sullivan in that scissorlift under high winds.

Dude.

Forget about the ref's bull$hit touchdown call in the 4th, because Stanford was going to score a TD to finish that drive anyways. Chip Kelly and his cocky playcalling were to blame for Oregon's loss. Who runs the ball almost exclusively when they are driving to win the game, not only to end regulation but also in overtime?? Did he sleep through the part of the game where Stanford was shutting Oregon's run-game down?? What was going on in the 4th and OT made no sense. Screw it, though. Kelly is as good as gone at the end of the season anyways, with Kansas City or Cleveland as likely destinations. And all hail the SEC, again. <_<
