Still MIGHTY
the Angels and their horrible pitching staff. 1 Amazing starter, 4 inconsistent starters, and a mostly terrrible bullpen (especially middle relief). They'd be in first place if they had a semi-competent 'pen, seriously.Yep... Sport
The Reds have more losses in their last 4 games (4) than they did in the previous 25 (3). Baseball is weird.Yes, it sure is. That's just another of the many reasons why it's great.I agree. I'd prefer for my team to continue to play at an .880 winning percentage for the rest of the season and not be the example of baseball's weirdness, but that's just not realistic. The everyday nature of baseball, the ebbs and flows, how one team can look so good one night and terrible the next, how the best team in the league can get swept by the worst team in the league, how even in something as calculated and mathematical as a baseball lineup can surprise you, are all reasons why it's my favorite game. Well, I mean, I get that there are minor league options and everything, but is it worth having Carpenter or Isringhausen blowing several games in a row? rams80
Wait a minute...Isringhausen is still an MLB reliever? You would have thought everyone would have caught on by now. pmoehrin
I want to see Jayson Werths beard in playoff mode.I remember saying last year he was going to be a much better player once the pressure was off him being "the guy" in the lineup and for when he's been healthy he has been. The only thing I want to see is the Nationals really stick to their plan of shutting down Strasburg after 160 innings. If they don't pitch him in the playoffs provided they get there, I will be stunned. I get the idea of saving him for down the road, but you don't know if your going to be back in the postseason down the right. Things can happen. If you have a legit shot at the World Series, you go for it. Period, because tomorrow may never come.
NEW.ERA
I didn't see any of the Jays/Yanks game, nor do I want to. But holy hell what the heck happened. I get the league leading 13 players on IR, but they are just getting humiliated. JETS|PACK|JAYS|NUFC|BAMA|BOMBERS|RAPS|ORANJE|

I'd be more happy that Ricky Romero actually pitched a good game against the Yankees then I would be upset about the bullpen. This is just another snakebitten year for the Blue Jays. They and the Orioles should flip flop records in a perfect world, but happens.
Kramerica Industries
Washington is the first team to 70 wins this season.I mean, I know I picked them to win 94 games this season, but I doubt anyone thought they were legit, best-team-in-baseball good. Their on pace to win 100 games this year.Just spectacular.
raysox
That's good for them. Fun team to watch.Rays won their 4th straight tonight, and are 11-5 in the last 16. Longoria has been back for 4 games, and the offense has gotten 4-3-7-12 runs. should be a fun stretch run. @MichaelDanger19 | Dribbble

If those two guys can stay healthy that team suddenly turns into a pretty good ballclub. I wouldn't be going out of my way to play them. Their upcoming series on the road against Minneosta will be a good test. Looking at their schedulue and how they're playing, that's a team with a real chance to play spoiler down the stretch. Especially for the Tigers and White Sox. The only two teams in the AL that I would regard as being safe for the playoffs barring some type of major collapse would be the Rangers and Yankees. Otherwise you have six teams going at it for three spots. That would be the Angels, A's, Orioles, Tigers, White Sox and the Rays. I think the White Sox will take the Central, the Angels will grab one Wild Card spot and the Rays will grab the other. But it will be close all season long and may even come down the final day. Its going to be a fun race to watch and I'm looking forward to it.

His production is sorely needed and pitching can't win every game for your team. With him back, the AL should be careful about the Rays because this team can be sneaky hot. McCall
Just realized, if the playoffs started today, the Pirates and Braves would play in Atlanta for the Wild Card play-in game. How about that? The Pirates first playoff game in 20 years, and it would be the same opponent and same location (new stadium though) as their last playoff game. https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall

We've just been kinda-sorta-good at home.
Kramerica Industries
32-22 (.593), 4th best in NL, 6th best in MLB.Outstanding road record, however. .650 win percentage, only team with as few losses are the Braves. In fact, in the NL East as a whole, only the Marlins are better at home than on the road.
Epiphanic
Home-field advantage is always a good thing. It's not like the Nationals are playing terrible baseball at home. They're playing great baseball wherever they are. "In the arena of logic, I fight unarmed."I tweet & tumble.
