2012 MLB Season

Recommended Posts

This is the year of the hitter. Except in Seattle.

Bite Me. I knew sooner or later that horribly anemic offense would rear it's ugly head again, and look... it gave some no-name guy a perfect game.

*sigh* Oh well, it's still the first month of the season. Things can probably get better after this, right? Right?

And to think we're a little more than one year removed from this:

I especially love that Carl Crawford fled a World Series contender for this embarrassing ball club. They deserve each other.

LOL. While other places claimed that team to be the best ever, don't ever use The Herald as an example for your argument.

Forget the Sox, I wanna know what happened in the frozen yogurt wars. Was anybody hurt?

I think among Cubs fans it might be a collective all-time-low for fewest AB's watched this season. If I end up going to a game later this year on the cheap, I'm not going to have any idea who the hell anyone is.

There was a weeks-long, city-wide outbreak of sprinkle rash.

Buy bleacher tickets. You'll fit right in.

April 21, and all's right with the world!

I'm going to find you, and hit you.

Edit: but like you said it's Apr. 21 /tryingtobeoptimistic

Double Edit: Wow, I just wasted my 6000th post on this pitiful "team".

Because being half a game ahead in April is SO huge <_<

But I do agree seeing Boston at the bottom is nice, would love to see the Yankees spend time there with them as well this season!

I mentioned the date for a reason.

Are forgetting that Tampa Bay could win this division and elimiate your lead. I agree seeing Boston last is an awesome occurance to all Yankee and Rays fans. ^_^

FTFY ;) (Although there's nothing I'd like more than for Boston-NY to be 4-5. It'll never happen, but I can dream).

Odd quirk in the schedule has the Jays and Royals playing today at 1pm local time, and again tomorrow at 7pm local.

Except they won't. Guys, it's late April. Talk to me when the Sawks are 6 games under .500 at the All Star break.

When did the Nationals suddenly become a good team? Pleasantly surprised to see the former Expos doing well again.

The Nationals have been laying the foundations for the past few years. Anyone who's surprised that they're competitive hasn't been paying attention. They've been a little lucky to start (they're 6-2 in 1-run games), so I expect them to slow down a little. But don't be surprised if they're in the wild card discussion come September.

What the :censored: happened at Fenway yesterday?

But I shouldn't worry. Marlon Byrd and his .070/.149/.070 line is here to save the Red Sox!

And it's not like the Red Sox needed that young reliever Bowden anyway. Their bullpen is perfectly fine.

To be fair, the Red Sox were absolutely predicted to be more of a World Series contender than the Rays in 2011, if not the World Series champion in 2011. It's not like he's a mystical seer and knew beforehand that it would all go belly up.
