crashcarson15
I came up with a list of potential stadiums for the potential SPFL markets:New York/New Jersey: Citi Field (Flushing, NY), MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ), or High Point Solutions Stadium (Rutgers Univ. -- Piscataway, NJ) Red Bull Arena (Harrison, NJ)Washington, D.C.: RFK Stadium lol or Byrd Stadium (Univ. of Maryland -- College Park, MD)Memphis: Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium lolOrlando: Citrus Bowl or Bright House Networks Stadium (UCF) Maybe...Charlotte: Bank of America StadiumChicago: Soldier Field or Ryan Field (Northwestern Univ. -- Evanston, IL) Toyota Park (Bridgeview, IL)Detroit: Ford Field or Silverdome (Pontiac, MI)Philadelphia: Lincoln Financial Field or Franklin Field (Univ. of Penn) PPL Park (Chester, PA)San Francisco/Oakland: Candlestick Park, AT&T Park, Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, Stanford Stadium (Stanford Univ. -- Stanford, CA), or California Memorial Stadium (Univ. of California -- Berkeley, CA)Denver: Sports Authority Field at Mile High or Folsom Field (Univ. of Colorado -- Boulder, CO) Dicks Sporting Goods Park (Commerce City, CO)Dallas: Cotton Bowl, Gerald J. JH42XCC
I'm surprised Birmingham, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Oklahoma City, and San Antonio weren't mentioned as one of the projected markets for this league.
crashcarson15
Or Omaha. You know, not like they sold out all of their games for the UFL or any... oh wait.
Raymie
Phoenix would not be feasible. We don't have many colleges and universities here (just ASU and Grand Canyon which doesn't even have football). You'd be playing at a high school field, perhaps like the two women's football teams floating around Phoenix. We have some nice ones, even artificial turf in a few places... rams80
Or Omaha. You know, not like they sold out all of their games for the UFL or any... oh wait. The problem is there's not a whole lot of developmental potential in the "Nebraska Alumni Team" model. That league isn't going to be too friendly to the idea of regular pointy ball games and their over abundance of lines mucking up their pristine fields during the season. They've been working 15 years to build their own stadiums just to get away from that kind of crap unless it's the fall and they're sharing with local high schools or colleges. Shizznick
I'm hearing that this league has an agreement with CBS Sportsnet to broadcast 3 games a week so they may have something here.Nice league logo.http://www.spfl.com/ realclearpolitics.com "Political tags - such as royalist, communist, democrat, populist, fascist, liberal, conservative, and so forth - are never basic criteria.
