Reports say Manning spent another day in Denver today. Kinda strange to spend TWO days when you are as wanted as he is, wouldn't ya think?

I thought he flew to Arizona today? I don't have any concrete sources to support that, just what I read. If what you're saying is true then I like the Broncos chances.

He may have went to Arizona later on, but I read a report in which he was still palling around with Elway and Fox as of 2 this afternoon.

He left somewhere in the vicinity of an hour ago for Arizona. He spent the day in Dove Valley.

Local news said Peyton never went to the Broncos' headquarters today. One guy on Twitter took a picture of Peyton playing tennis in the Cherry Creek area.

All my information came from that thread I linked to on the Broncos Board. I don't have cable and I didn't watch the news, I was busy.

I'm still liking the idea of him coming to Denver, and I think it would be great.

I think he's going to shock everyone and sign with the New Jersey Generals.

Schefter, among other reporters, saying Manning has almost zero interest in the Dolphins. This one could be between Denver and the Cards.

He also said a source that spoke with Manning before his trip to Arizona said that "his gut is that Manning is leaning toward Denver."

But again, that was before Manning met with Arizona.

I think the big selling point for Manning in Arizona is the dome. He's also pretty close with Coach Ken Whisenhunt. Then again, he's pretty close with Elway as well. But Arizona has a weak offensive line and Denver has a lot more cap room to play around with to appease Manning. Arizona will have to restructure contracts to bring Manning in, which means they'll likely release Levi Brown, which is another hole to fill on that line.

If I'm Peyton, I'm picking throwing to Larry Fitzgerald over throwing to Demaryius Thomas.

If I'm Peyton, coming off of some neck surgeries, I'm choosing to throw to Reggie Wayne and Demaryius Thomas over Larry Fitzgerald since Fitzgerald comes with a team that has to cut guys and restructure contracts just to afford Manning. One of the guys they likely have to cut is the only half-decent offensive lineman they have, and who just happens to be the one that would protect his blindside.

Broncos have $40 million they have to spend this offseason, so they can improve their team around Manning as opposed to weakening their team just to afford Manning.

The issue with signing for the sake of one guy is... what happens if that one guy gets hurt?

If I'm Peyton (or any NFL player) I'd rather play on Pat Bowlen's teams than Bill Bidwill's. Denver would be willing to bring in targets like Reggie Wayne and Dallas Clark. No chance that happens in Arizona.

I guess the Titans are showing an interest in Peyton Manning, I don't know if he plans on scheduling a meeting with them -- he doesn't appear to be meeting with other teams that have expressed interest, such as Kansas City, Seattle, and possibly Miami. He doesn't seem like the type that would want to play Indianapolis twice a year. The general consensus seems to be that it's down to Denver and Arizona, helped by the fact that those are the only two stops planned so far on his free agency tour.

Apparently there was Broncos fans outside of Cardinals HQ today. Not sure if any of them were wearing Tebow jerseys

BigMac12, they would dump Kolb. They're going to owe him, I think, $7 million that will be needed to clear up space for Peyton.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/11/if-cards-want-manning-theyll-need-to-scramble-to-create-cap-space/

Now that the 2012 salary cap has been set at $120.6 million, we?ve obtained the full list of the cap space, or surplus, that the teams have.

With less than 48 hours until all 32 franchises must be in compliance with the spending limit, plenty of teams have work to do.

And if the Arizona Cardinals hope to sign Peyton Manning, they?ll need to roll up their sleeves and create some cap space.

The Cardinals are $16.4 million over the cap, as adjusted to reflect $2 million in 2011 carryover and $1.333 million in downward adjustments.

The Cardinals will need to clear up a considerable amount of cap space to even be able to afford Manning. This is do-able, as they can cut Kolb to clear up $7 million, Levi Brown to clear up $17 million, restructure a few deals, cut Joey Porter (not sure what his cap number is without looking it up), but will make bringing in guys like Reggie Wayne to appease Manning difficult. Additionally, it'll make it difficult to shore up that offensive line that was second in the league in sacks allowed and would be, in this scenario, be without it's Left Tackle from last year, who's the only half decent player on their line.

The Broncos offensive line was near the bottom of the league in sacks as well (about 12 shy of the Cardinals), but if you watched them, a lot of it had to do with Tebow hanging onto the ball for way too long.

Denver sports reporter @VicLombardi:

"Just heard from my peoples. Broncos now 95% confident he'll sign with Denver. Their number, not mine." Lombardi then states "Broncos were contacted by manning TONIGHT".

I'll admit I laughed when this first came up but this now seems to be like a very real possibility.

I don't know what the Broncos and Elway said to him but whatever it is, its looking more and more like that was enough.

Now the question could be what is going to happen to Tebow. Does he wind up going to Miami?

Better sources say the Broncos didn't talk to Peyton Manning today at all, or tonight. Giving him space. Vic's number is reported to be "way off".
