Legend
Yeah, too close for me. And as a Lightning fan, I wish they'd sue the Bolts so I wouldn't have to see that crap logo anymore.

I would think it would be a slam dunk if they did. Jaguar was successful in making Jacksonville change. Jacksonville wasn't as close as the Tampa one. Jaguar's logo was iconic, I'm not quite sure that this is the same. mbannon92
Well, I'm sure Electric Visual didn't get permission from Notre Dame to put our leprechaun front and center on their St. Patty's Day promotion, so everyone's even? kw11333
I had to come of with a lighting/thunder type logo, and a lot of my concepts looked similar to the Lighting logo.

kmccarthy27
Its about as close as DC Comics' logo was that the DC clothing line forced them to change it to the new logo that they are using now.

It matters who was firstPopularity does matter--a famous mark allows the owner to sue for trademark dilution--as opposed to trademark infringement--allowing the owner to prevent others from using a similar mark in connection with products not related to the trademarks owner's product. In trademark infringement cases, the proximity of the marks in terms of product space is an important consideration for likelihood of confusion by consumers. Trademark dilution eliminates consideration of how related the products are. Visit my store on REDBUBBLE
