Phil
As far as I can tell, the boards have always been this 'punchy', but it's been brought to the forefront a lot more with a few members who are having a tough time fitting in, regardless of their efforts to or otherwise.Guys, one person said it, we don't all have to pile on. Let's be a little friendlier to James, just like we expect him to be a little friendlier to his fellow new members....on a little more humourous note, does JamesCraven remind anyone else a little of Farva? To prevent this from becoming a flame-war, let's keep comments on this point to a minimum and on the positive and lighter side of 'joking around'. Discrim
I don't mean to sound way to harsh when I read the criticism of these logos, they are for a smaller league, but I also felt that the MLS should have made each team in its league wear the same color jerseys for the first 2-3 years to create a kid of branding of each team in the minds of its small legion of fans. I never knew if KC was yellow, light blue, etc., until a few years later, and NY/NJ was always stripes, but their jersey design got switched as well. I think if the league beagan to create an individual identity for each team (especially since young soccer players were such a large component of their crowds), younger fans could identify the color of the team with the city, building up a relationship and rivalries better than switching primary colors and looks year in, year out. in the words of me: most of em wore the same damn design anyway, just different colors. all the teams wearing the same color and design woulda looked like a damn rec league. sort of like how the D-league looks.I'm glad MLS let each team search out for their own identities, most of em have used the same styles (or at least colors) since inception for the most part, the notable exceptions being San Jose, Colorado and the Galaxy. First one (Clash became Earthquakes) was a change for the better, the other two (Rapids going from primarily green to Inter ripoffs and Galaxy changing from aqua jerseys with gold trim to gold jerseys with green and black trim) for the worse but whatchagonnado? A strong mind gets high off success, a weak mind gets high off bull
