rams80
Hmm, I wonder where a Comcast Sportsnet writer would get insider info about Jeremy Jacobs being a screaming dickhole to his "fellow" owners during negotiations.http://www.csnne.com...091&feedID=3352Yeah, Jeremy, what has Winnipeg ever done for you, except take an albatross of a franchise and turn it into a cash register, while paying mightily for the privilege. This effing guy.Pursuant to the terms of the CBA, the Jets almost cost Jacobs money by significantly raising revenues from what Atlanta brought in, meaning more of his own money had to go back into payroll. Fortunately, he cancelled half of this season! Disaster averted!http://www.cbc.ca/sp...ion-forbes.htmlNot that it adds anything, but hey, it's not immediately lockout related. Interesting to note that the Coyotes aren't last on the list. Apparently they're worth more then the Blues. The_Admiral
That sucks a lot. JackieMoon
I seriously think the NHL will never recover from this in it's current form. Teams like Florida, Columbus, and Nashville are going to lose their entire fanbase. Maybe it's best for North American Pro Hockey, who knows. All I know is I am utterly fed up with the likes of all the dummies that are bickering (players, owners, Commish Buttman). Are we gonna have a 30-team NHL whenever they resume? Maybe short-term but I don't see it lasting. If it's better for pro hockey and the league folds, so be it. Maybe that's what we need to have a good, quality product that we know won't take us fans for granted.

It may not be right away but there will be contraction or relocation within 2-3 years. Honestly there should only be about 24-26 teams. Just my opinion though. Sodboy13
Am told by 2 NHL sources that #Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs forced employees to pay tax on 2011 Stanley Cup rings. About $7K per ring. Some support staff couldn't afford the tax up front, so players stepped up and covered the cost so they could get rings too. This effing guy. The_Admiral
Peter Karmanos is also understood to be pretty influential (and when you control the booming hockeytown of Raleigh, why shouldn't you be), as he and Jim Rutherford seem to have their tentacles in all sorts of subcommittees. The book (which I reviewed for y'all!) notes that Harley Hotchkiss was very close to Bettman before his death; whether Murray Edwards inherited that influence, I can't say.James Dolan has no influence with Bettman after trying to sue him for internet revenue. The Leafs' representatives got kicked from the executive committee a while ago for wanting too much money or something. Geoff Molson is too new to the room. The_Admiral
Well, Mike Ilitch the man himself appears to be on the verge of death. The Wings were the only team that I know of to get the $1,000,000 fine for speaking out of turn. Devellano got his dick slapped pretty hard for that cattle remark, though rumor has it he didn't particularly mind.I don't know what Rocky Wirtz is allowed to say. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

You don't include the Toronto Maple Leafs or Montreal Canadiens in the decision making process on a lockout dispute over revenue? The Leafs make more money then anyone in the league, and telling the Canadiens that they don't deserve a say is like telling the New York Yankees they don't deserve a say in the goings on of baseball.Screw you NHL.
