Jose Reyes of the Miami Marlins (formerly the Florida Marlins).

I think he's doing that because that's a Photoshopped picture of Jose Reyes. Lol. He never had dreadlocks as a member of the Miami Marlins. Remember he got his hair cut before he played a game with them?

EDIT: And the reflection on Reyes' batting helmet isn't even Marlins Park but rather I think Citi Field or Citizens Bank Park.

Ah yeah. I think it might just be some photo shoot at Spring Training or around when he signed... Before he cut his hair.

The Nationals for sure.

The title said "Best Look", not worst.

That road uniform is unquestionably their best uniform ever, IMO. I don't like the home though.

What would make that a tremendous set is if they put a matching Nationals script on the front of the home uniform. THAT would easily be the best look in franchise history (including the Expos).

If we're including the Expos, NOTHING will top these:

It is to questionable. Their first road uniforms were a million times better than these. They should've made the homes navy to match them, and maybe ditch the curly W for that one cap that we saw the owner (I think) wearing, with the white W, with gold beveling and red outline. But everything about the new set is so half-assed and mixed wrong. I mean 3 jerseys have the same 2-color placket piping and the road has 3 color piping? The numbers suck (should've been fixed on the old set as well) and it just overall sucks.

I still think the Mets look best with the racing stipe...I don't know why, but take the current set and add racing stripes too it and THEN we're talking.

I love racing stripes. I like pinstripes. However, when paired together, they look downright awful.

Ice Cap already mentioned the Leafs.

Edmonton Oilers:

There are so few hockey teams to put because they're all either wearing something they've almost always worn (Red Wings, Habs) or have been crippled by RBK Edge (Stars, Penguins, Senators)

The only problem I had with the home - as admittedly nice a uniform as it was - was that it reminded me of the Iowa Cubs a little too much from a distance.

The roads were stellar, though. Beautiful uniform. If the Expos had made a home uniform in the same style, the set would have been one of the top in the majors.

It's an interesting question, because there's probably a number of teams currently wearing their BEST look, but still not the perfect or even right look.

I'll just evaluate my local teams for now.

The Cardinals are wearing their best look IMO. The Birds on the Bat logo is as good as it's every looked. It's gone through a few updates throughout the Cardinals history, and it's never been better drawn than it currently is. I hear anyone who suggests they're boring with their lack of piping, but it seems every new uniform that comes out either features piping, pinstripes, or stripes, and I find the Cardinals to be a nice clean variation at this point in time.

The Rams could be argued, but I think they WERE in their best look until they slowly stopped wearing the gold pants and now officially dropped them. Huge mistake motivated by player opinion.

The Blues look fine, but their best look came prior to their currents.

I'll show you why I disagree with the ones in red:

Packers (white shoes - yes, it's that important)

The Packers still wear white shoes.

That's an old photo - take a look at the 49er uniforms.

But the Packers have worn black shoes since the Rodgers era started. I can't see on my phone; are those players be-spatted?

I couldn't agree more.

This thread kinda bums me out, because my team, the San Francisco Giants, had their best look ever and slowly started to erode it starting in 2009. First came the orange alts (which aren't bad, just kinda muddles up the set is all), then the unnecessary orange billed caps, then the switch of patches on the road an alt jerseys, and finally this year came the awful new road uniforms. I really hope they don't, but I'd be stunned if they didn't screw up their home jersey sometime soon. They went from having a damn near perfect set when it came to looking good and giving a nod to the past, but for some inexplicable reason they decided to add elements from the Candlestick days, which IMO, should be a mostly forgotten era for them.

I think the Oakland A's home whites are their best look. I would not hesitate to say that they have the best home unis in MLB.

For the NFL

1A) Chicago Bears home uniforms

1B) Kansas City Chiefs white jersery/red pants combo

it's an unused and leaked prototype from the 2011 tweak; was pretty widely discussed at the time.

As an over 40+ year Sabres fan since we came into the league with Vancouver for the '70-'71 season, I've disliked that uniform then, and I dislike it just as much now since they brought them back with the slight tweaking of the logo and the darkening of the blue in recent seasons.

The alternate that you posted I like but would have loved them if they had used the EXACT script-logo font as the hockey-Bisons rather that a faux version that they've obviously tried to fool the younger generations who never saw the Bisons into believing that's it's part of Buffalo's storied hockey history. BTW, I think they're being shelved after last season from what I've heard.

I truly believe that if they ever brought back the Bison uniforms from the late 60s as the alternate uniform they'd be a major hit and sell like hotcakes.

I've long assumed that they probably would have had to pay Pepsi for the rights to use that exact script-logo from the bottlecap logo used from 1955-1970, so they made one as close as possible to escape copyright infringement.

bisonsjersey2.jpg

I've stated this before ... the Sabres could have had one of the best uniforms in the NHL (IMO) back in 2006-2007 with the color-combo used, and the alternate 'B' logo with the sabre-sword stuck thru it rather than that ridiculous Buffaslug logo. 'Twas a great looking uniform but lousy primary logo.

sabres_alt_06_away.jpg

sabres_alt06.jpg

Minus the Buffaslug and if they had used the alternate shoulder logo as primary, this had the makings of a really cool uniform. I'm probably in the minority on this one, most seem to like the return of the original uniform look.

The blue in some of the photos looks darker than it actually was ..

Cardinals jersey has always looked good, and was ahead of its time in terms of design. I'm a proponent of having city names on road jerseys, so I think a tasteful improvement would be replacing the word Cardinals with St. Louis underneath the birds on the jersey.

What a gorgeous jersey. What a shame that it never saw the field.
