OnWis97
I still remember this card from the early 1980s. I wonder whether he'd broken his jaw or something. knnhrvy16
Eric Dickerson's goggles-neck roll-mouthpiece-elbow pads combo! The opinions I express are mine, and mine only. If I am to express them, it is not to say you or anyone else is wrong, and certainly not to say that I am right.

Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. njmeadowlanders
several football players have gone this route with the double helmet. Why?Some players used to do that to try and help prevent concussions. infrared41
Eric Dickerson's goggles-neck roll-mouthpiece-elbow pads combo! If memory serves, Dickerson was asked about the amount of equipment he wore and he said if someone made a piece of safety equipment, it was made for a reason and that he was going to wear it. I think his gear weighed about ten pounds total. He's a pretty good argument against the idea that too much equipment makes players slow.I always thought he looked pretty cool wearing all that stuff. TheOldRoman
That headband is inside-out. It's probably the same style he used to wear, he just wears the logo on the inside. Is there a reason refused to wear the logo rightside up? It has to be some kind of statement.
