STL FANATIC
So anyway the Rams lost late but for some reason I'm not completely upset. Maybe it's because the loss was "last minute TD" rather than the 2-3 TD blowout loss I was anticipating. Heartening for the future, assuming the offensive line isn't too catastrophically decimated.I'm with you. I was crushed when they lost, but overall, it's easy to feel pretty decent about where they're at.Some fans don't want to because they see the same thing they heard 2 or 3 years ago and then 2 or 3 more before that. And I understand that. But just because the Linehan hire was a colossal failure and the Spagnuolo hire was just as bad, doesn't mean Jeff Fisher's crew isn't also facing a tough rebuild. The fact that it's our 66th loss in 81 games sucks. The fact that it was another game in which a lead was blown late (although, I think that's being exaggerated by many--I don't think the Rams had late leads all that often the past few years) sucks. But It's really unfair to the past 5 years against the current team and especially the current staff.Bradford wasn't great, but he was better than last year and played better as the game went on. His fourth quarter actually was pretty great. Our running game was solid, not excellent. The defense gave up yardage and obviously collapsed at the end, but until the 4th quarter, they made enough big plays to have a very good day. Our rookie K is a dependable stud. It's more good than bad, I think. Or it's at least more good than was expected. I'll take that. The Niners obviously looked good. But I'm not sure the Rams are any worse than the Seahawks or the Cardinals. So there's that, too. NEW.ERA
I get the vibe after reading, listening and watching many of the media outlets after Sunday's games is that the overall reffing performance wasn't as bad as us fans were making it out to be. Two big ones I obviously saw were the fourth timeout in Arizona, and the flag thrown for what seemed like block in the back in the Packers/Niners game which led to Randall Cobb's Punt Return TD, but then the flag was later picked up. Obviously the replacements will be back on the field starting Thursday, but really we all know the NFL can holdout for as long as they feel, but you gotta think one side needs to cave, and in all ways it shouldn't be the officials that cave first. FiddySicks
So the Bucs won 16-10 over the Panthers in Greg Schiano's first game, and allowed only 10 rushing yards after being the most God awful team in the NFL last season on rushing defense. Sure it was raining all day, but still.Overall,Not bad. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Cujo
Scab refs strike again. Even with instant replay, they called Anquan Boldin's dropped pass a touchdown.

Kramerica Industries
This has been an impressive display by Baltimore, especially with the passing game. This is about as good as Joe Flacco has played in the NFL.

dfwabel
I had to turn to radio since I have no idea what game Chris Berman is calling. Now on to Twitter to read all the Berman hatred.
Kramerica Industries
Massive unpopular opinion:I can't hate Chris Berman. Does he have a massive ego that he can never control? Of course. Much of his shtick grew old a long time ago.At the same rate, Boomer is one of the rare remaining guys around who not only watched the AFL, but has a great appreciation for the league. Guy was an AFL fan more than he was an NFL fan. And as someone who could never appreciate the AFL when it was active, I enjoy hearing some of what Boomer has to say for how things were back in those days. Reading about it only goes so far.Which also reminds me of an excellent AFL site. I don't visit it as often as I should, but it gets my highest recommendation. TalktoChuck
Incase you missed the 2nd half of tonight's game.....PEYTON IS BACK!He looked good not great, although granted the Broncos didn't have the ball a whole lot in the game and we're seeing him at game speed for the first time in over a year working in a brand new offense.I think even the most jaded Bronco fan would be happy with the performance he had tonight. If this is the type of team the Broncos are going to be, they will be legitimate Super Bowl contenders. I don't see a real weakness in this team if Manning can play like that 9 times out of 10.I don't know if I would call them a sleeper, but I don't think they've been given as much respect as they should be getting. This is a playoff team from last year who just picked up one of the 10 greatest QB's in NFL history who still looks like he can play at a very high level. And the biggest weakenss that team had from last year was throwing the ball. There was one big glaring weakness I saw in that game, 3rd down defense. When the other team is 10/11 on third downs during a stretch of the game ( I think that was the number at half-time), with most of them being longer than 3rd and ten, then you have a bit of a problem. That's why Peyton was on the sideline so much, the defense couldn't get the Steelers off the field.Granted, most of that was because Big Ben holds the ball so long that it's almost impossible to cover WR the whole time. Kramerica Industries
Special teams has turned this game on its ear.The fact that the Raiders are on the bad end of that, given that they have the best kicker and punter in the league, is mind-boggling. Also, where was that vertical Charger passing assault I am so used to? The defense though was more then good enough for the win.
