That Goodell # can't be real. I just Googled it and it's been posted on sites since 2007.

I just called it and it sounds pretty official. It was busy the first few times I tried, but once I finally got through, it' definitely sounds a number to his offices. His secratary is gonna be PISSED tomorrow morning!

Regardless of the Goodell # being real or unfounded, I'm curious as to the repercussions of these social media outbursts. Fines are a certainty, but suspensions?

Ref that made the TD call (Howard Slavin) not a scab, but a full-time NFL official...?

The guy who ruled it an interception I guess reffed NFL Europe, Arena and Big 12 Football. No clue on that second guy.

Well there was a litany of terrible calls that prefaced that final play which may be more to the point than the hail mary. The preceding Sunday featured an orgy of embarrassing moments for these replacement officials that only compounded the crushing embarrassment of this particular event.

I could be completely wrong, but I swear the guy who called the touchdown (White haired white guy) has been involved in at least one other of these controversial games. I swear I saw him during the Cardinals Seahawks game in week 1.

I'm already not watching any games until the real refs come back... if the NFL wants to flush their credibility even further down the commode, let 'em.

Exactly. It just gives them away of screwing themselves even more.

This crew was the same crew that officiated the Rams-Redskins game last weekend. That game, on the whole, was probably as bad as any game has been the past three weeks. Only the fact that it was the Rams-Redskins (and also maybe that the more deserving team overcame it) kept it out of the spotlight.

Does anyone know for certain just how much money is differentiating the NFL and officials from reaching an agreement?

Also, I'm pretty certain Bill Belichick is happy that this fiasco is taking all the attention away from his ref-grab.

I'm going to go more with the former than the latter.
