CJworks
Hey fellas,Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but this section seems to fit the bid.I've been looking around for quite awhile now for quality companies that can produce caps with my own designs, you know, like the kind you'd order for you start up baseball league or something. However, I'm not looking to bulk order 24 caps, I only need one. The sites I've skimmed through only had the option of having a mass order of them, which strikes a problem because I don't know what I'm going to do with 20 something extra hats.Pricing isn't too much of an issue at this point, I'd just like to see if there's anything out there. Any help would be much appreciated. Dribbble | Twitter | Facebook | Portfolio
burgundy
Lids allows single orders of custom caps. Their digitizing fee is $50 I think, but the hat prices are normal Lids prices. I'm not sure if they offer 3D embroidery though. I've never ordered one, so I don't know their quality, but I'd guess it can't be too bad. I've found several other places that do single orders, but $50 seems to be the standard fee, though their hats are generally cheaper, as they're not New Era. I can't recall the sites off the top of my head though.

I paid more for a custom colored hat with a pre-existing logo from newera.comThat's JUST the digitizing fee, but it was closer to $80 when I worked there. The price of the cap and what they charge to embroider the cap is separate. It'll probably end up being closer to a $130 cap. Broken Record
You can put your designs on caps through Cafe Press, but the options are pretty limited and the quality isn't too hot. It is relatively cheap, though.
CJworks
Thanks guys.I checked out some of these sites, and though the quality seems to be decent on some of them, I'm limited to only so many color choices. It seems to be what I've been finding a lot through my search, but oh well. Dribbble | Twitter | Facebook | Portfolio
creativelysain
Have you thought about buying the hat then finding a local embroidery shop to stitch the hats? Follow me on twitter @jrsainGo Heels
Lee.
Embroiderers are going to charge an initial setup fee regardless. It's like getting shirts done, each color needs a screen.Trust me on this.Best bet is to check with a local printer, actually. The girl doing my LOTF signage has flexfit hats starting at $5.70, plus setup. You might be able to get a deal there. Welcome to DrunjFlix
pcgd
I've had a few hats done but every time I did it it was more than just a single hat. Like a softball team is actually pretty reasonable. We got some flex fits for 12 people and they ended up being like 15 each. If you can find someone that does digitizing of embroidery see if they can do it for a favor or in trade. That's your biggest cost on a single hat (or even 5 hats honestly). If you can get that taken care of the actually hat and embroidery isn't that bad even at Lids. And yes Lids does 3D. And I want to say the embroidery portion is free if you order enough hats (I think that number is 10 though) I have a friend that got a 3D logo done there and it looks really good. He had to have them redone though cause they didn't come out good the first time. I've heard that before that the quality isn't great but they are capable...just stay on them. GottaDeal
Lands' End does it through their Business Outfitters department:http://ocs.landsend.com/cd/frontdoor?store_name=corpsales&store_type=1In fact, this week they have free logo setup (the digitizing) which is normally $90. And next week they have free logo application for items you order, saving like $8 per item. They don't have New Era hats, but they have some to choose from. Lee.
as a followup, here's what my printer charges for things. YMMV, as I'm Canadian and this is a competitive market for such a small town (22k people, 7 print shops)FlexFit caps- $5.70 up to ten caps, 5.25 10-29 capsEmbroidery Digitization- $50 per design (one-time)Actual Embroidery- $4-7 dependent on complexity. For one cap, it would cost me ~$60. Not worth it, but 2 caps are $72, or 36 per, which is New Era territory. 3 caps is $83, or ~$28, etc. If you're looking to sell, ten caps is more than enough, and it'll bring in a small net profit. Keep in mind that it's a one-time digitizing fee, and subsequent orders are gonna go way down for you. Welcome to DrunjFlix
henryn
There are large number of companies q that can produce quality caps with their own designs. You can have a look at them online. You can also visit the websites for a detailed information for the same. You can also order in bulk amount by creating your own hat in the new era._______________________create your own hat new era

That pricing sounds really reasonable and I'd love to get some hats done there.
shaydre1019
A friend of mine got the high school he works at's logo embroidered on a hat by lids and it came out terrible. i would imagine a local embroider would be the cheapest place.
