IceCap
I'm partial to the 1996 Atlanta and 2002 Salt Lake City logos. TornadoGTS
I still see an atomic bomb in the Rio 2016 one.... Facebook: CustomSportsCovers Twitter: CSCovers Quote No because when the Irish came to Ireland and first came in contact with the leprechaun people, they didn't take their land away and force them to move west. Instead, the two groups learned to assimilate peacefully. However, certain tribes of the leprechaun refused to taint the pure blood and moved north into the forests of Ireland, only to be seen rarely, usually at the same time of a rainbows appearance and occasionally at the factories of Lucky Charms. winghaz
I really hate the modern art logos, like London, Sydney and Barcelona. Those three are some of the worst.
BBTV
Calgary and Salt Lake really nailed it. Torino was nice but is really period - I like the logos to be a little more timeless. Albertville is a really nice one as well. Not much good happening on the Summer side. I guess I'll give it to Moscow '80. I do have a soft spot for logos that are one color and made up of lines (there's probably a name for that.) What's the significance of Montreal's mountains on top of the rings? I want to like that one, but I'm not sure I understand it. raysox
Am I the only one who really likes the London branding? vmd9
I swear I still don't understand that Torino logo...what is it? A mountain? I just see bubbly dots.My favorites would probably be Beijing 08, Athens 04, Seoul 88, Moscow 80, and Helsinki 52...EDI: That Los Angeles '32 logo above is very classy. And why do they have to do some bull running man that looks like he's drawn by a caveman. Like, you can do it once in '92, but why continue it!?The Torino logo was an abstract representation of Mole Antonelliana, a major landmark in the city. And I'm sure the way it is curved is a tie-in to make it resemble a slope more. So I guess it could have a dual meaning, but that's just my opinion. As far candidate logos go, the NYC 2012 bid was my favorite.Could have made a great olympic logo based off that. mmejia
I actually like Rome '60. I get the argument about it not being a strong logo, but I like the historical tie and I think it would look great on a t-shirt. I also like Mexico '68, as do a lot of other people it appears. Grenoble '68 looks like a college ring. Montreal '76 looks like i'ts shooting us the finger.

jc...
1980 Lake Placid. I live near there, and its a neat area. Would love to see the Winter Olympics come back to the region so I could see it (I was born 10/1980 so I missed it), but I am afraid the Olympics have outgrown the small town hosts. With better planning, it could be done if it included the region and not just Lake Placid. All the old venue's are still there and still in high use. A new bobsled track was built about 10 years ago and has hosted World Championships.
