Whatever that color is, that's what the sweaters should be. Chocolate is brown, but so is anyone's. It's hockey, not basketball or baseball....What really made the Manitoba Moose unis fly was their sheer simplicity. There was such a strong design trend in the 90s toward cluttering hockey logos with hockey equipment (sticks, skates, pucks, etc. to hit you over the head with the fact that the logo is for a hockey team) and unnecessary verbiage ("TUSCALOOSA ZEBRAS PROFESSIONAL ICE HOCKEY CLUB") that unis are crying out for simplification. The Moose pulled it off brilliantly. Yet as good as Hershey's look happens to be, they still couldn't resist mashing "HERSHEY BEARS" and a hockey stick into the logo. Too bad. Looks like they've gone to brown though:I prefer this older jersey design. I like the new logo a lot but that piping just kills it and I'm not a fan of the number font either.I think their best set was with the name on the front diagonally. You probably know where they are in that process better than I do, so whenever that gets done, they're gone. That said, the Phantoms have been in Glens Falls for three years going on four now, which I'm sure is longer than they planned to be there. It seats 4000 but they have trouble attracting 1000 fans to Cornwall Colts Jr. A hockey. It'll be interesting to see how the new Cornwall River Kings (LNAH) do in terms of fan support. As a city, Cornwall would be lucky to even see OHL caliber hockey again, despite being larger than two other OHL cities (Owen Sound, Belleville).Back on topic, those Hershey Bears jerseys and logo set is beyond brilliant. All of the attention is being directed towards the chocolate brown, but has anybody noticed that the off-white/cream colour looks like white chocolate? I agree with the side piping taking away from the look, and I also would like to see a diagonally lettered "HERSHEY" as an alternate as well. Even with some of the flaws some are pointing out it's outstanding piece of work. So much so I've jumped on the Bears bandwagon for the coming season.
