To kind of piggy back off of this...

You'd have to think the Catholic conference would pursue a couple more schools in order to grow the conference size from 7... Saint Louis, Dayton, and Xavier immediately come to mind as Catholic schools that could fit the bill from the area.

The rumor is they'll go after all of the prominent catholic hoops schools in the country, including Gonzaga, Creighton, Butler and the ones you named.

I can't see a nationwide Catholic conference happening...too much travel costs.

I could imagine something like this:

Big Catholic Conference

West: SLU, Creighton, Marquette, Depaul, Xavier, Dayton

East: Georgetown, Villanova, St. John's, Providence, Seton Hall, St. Joseph's
