Grantland's Honest NFL Logos

Recommended Posts

I feel like I've seen this exact idea executed before and it was much funnier the first time.

Page 2 (RIP) did a similar thing last year but they just redid the logos, but teams change. Last year's bronco one was tebow related, etc.

The (attempted) wisecracks reminded me of this video, which was much funnier:

This is really off-brand for Grantland. They should leave these bad puns and limp jokes to Page 2.

EDIT: er, make that "...limp jokes to ESPN Playbook."

Do they not know how to spell ?uck? Why two *s?

Maybe it's a really angry f-bomb.

Lazy, cheap jokes. And not very funny, either.

Unfortunately, about what I'd expect from Grantland.

Best part of the video is the purported Bears fan talking about 1984. More [sic] than you think.

I have to admit, I got a good laugh out of some of these!

Really? Are you affiliated with Grantland?

Grantland pays me a dime for each post to this thread.

Haha these are all pretty good. My favorites have to be Chicago, Denver, Kansas City, New England, New Orleans, and Washington.

Redskins is the best though.

Dumb. 3rd and 8? Am I missing the punchline?

Just went over them again. They're every bit as unfunny the second time as they were the first. If anything, 'I'm somehow less amused than I was the first time, when I was not amused at all. This is about what I'd expect from a cartoon page on the Sports eCyclopedia, not an ESPN spin-off (that's what it is, right?)
