FlyersHockey1967
They need to make one small correction for the Flyers: During the 2006-2007 playoff season they had the checkered pattern red line instead of the three parallel lines. It was only for that one season; they went back to the three lines for the 2007-2008 playoff season. I found it kind of ugly, really, and it's no coincidence it happened to be during their worst season in over a decade. Here's a picture where you can sort of make it outAnd a video of it where you can see it as Ben Eager leaves the penalty box:

FrozenFaceoff
Hey everyone! This is DTC from Frozen Faceoff. So excited to see the discussion about center ice designs. Its an aspect of hockey that often gets overlooked. I certainly hope to have some 2013 ices up soon (provided we have a season)! We are working on some New York Islander ices right now. A few new ones are already up and all of the existing ones have been edited for better accuracy.I really appreciate your interest in the site and hope that we can continue to improve and expand all aspects of the site for years to come! FrozenFaceoff
As for the Jets the fans were suggesting that the jet should actually point to the True North pole (which it currently doesn't, I think). How would a sideways roundel Jets look on centre ice? Pretty ugly, I suppose. Here ya go...According to the seating pdf on the jets site, North is to the right side of the circle from the TV camera perspective. billman29
Rangers installed their ice a couple of days ago, sticking with the same general design from the last couple of years (circular graphic with the team emblem in the middle)

You have many more people watching from home than you do in person; you're compromising the integrity of the logo by having its largest application face the wrong way on a television screen. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Kramerica Industries
I hated that centre-ice logo with a passion.Thankfully it was a very short-lived one.

Kramerica Industries
The Hockey Bay USA crap is why I'm glad I barely remember anything from the first two years post-lockout.That's the most self-embarrassing thing I have ever seen at centre ice. I am glad that NHL has such strict rules on ice designs. Keeps the ice clean unlike the AHL and other leagues with 15-20 ads on the ice. Unfortunately it can also hinder creativity. Kramerica Industries
Well this is an interesting one.Given that the Oilers used this ice throughout the '80s and into the '90s, this is the iconic centre ice seen for the Oilers dynasty teams when they were playing at the Northlands Coliseum.Extremely unique as well. I understand the giant logo they use now given that it's circular and fits perfectly, but I don't mind this at all.
