TruColor
Wow. I didn't even know an actual Houndogs' logo and uniform sheet existed."Cowboy Kevin" told me that he had contacted someone in Memphis at the time of the proposal, and they had told him the colors were going to be "Forest Green, Copper and Tan", but nothing had been drawn up yet. Based on that description, I chose estimates for those colors based on the Pantone values used at the time, and estimated the SAME EXACT PANTONE VALUES THAT ARE SHOWN ON THAT SCANNED SHEET. I mean - I'm getting fairly good at this, but I shocked myself on that one.I own official logosheets for the Bombers and Stallions; what I'll say is that the colors used on that Stallions sheet are different than what was included in their final proposal. They probably tweaked the colors once they realized that in actuality, PANTONE 718 C is a Burnt Orange, not a Gold (!).And - I've communicated with Ken Loh before...you'd also recognize his work as part of the team that brought us the L.A. Kings' infamous "Burger King" unis.
Bayne
Senators unused 20th anniversary logo from last year...Source: IcetheticsIt was designed by the same guy who came up with black =O= jersey.I'm not sure what I'm missing, but that looks to be about a billion times better than what they ended up using.sure does - that thing's gorgeous. All the depth that thing has (which is what makes it good IMO) is hard to embroid/print as a logo. There is a reason most sports logos are "flat", or have VERY simple shading.I havent seen that anniversary patch in a while, but now that I have again it makes me feel sick. I can't believe they didn't use that. It's so nice. I'm Danny fkn Heatley, I play for myself. That's what fkn all stars do.

However, I don't remember seeing any concept uniforms back then and I can't find any now. I think copper and dark green would be a cool, unique combo if executed properly. I dislike it when the numbers are not the same (e.g., the first flying elvis Pats jersey) Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." Gothamite
The Brewers had two prototypes in early 1970. The first was blue and red, pinstriped and with a script wordmark:That was before they bought the Pilots out of bankruptcy just days before the start of the 1970 season. After the sale went through, the team came up with this royal-and-gold number with Tuscan letters:When the Brewers got off the airplane at Mitchell Field for the first time, the stewardess was wearing the prototype:But in the end, they didn't have enough time to order brand-new jerseys, so they just stripped off the Seattle letters and stitched on arched block "BREWERS". DG_ThenNowForever
I love the logo, but can't recall an NFL logo that was ever that goofy (or, put another way, fun). We currently only have aggressive animal logos, but I'd love to see a return to fun stuff like this. The Pelicans really swung and missed at their opportunity for that; maybe if the Thunder ever come up with a real logo they can do something with an anthropomorphic thundercloud. 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags
