oaklandhusker
I am working on cleaning up my brother's attempt at designing a flag for our boy scout patrol. This is my first attempt at using InkScape, and I'm in the process of isolating all the pieces of his design. Once I do, though, how do I put color onto all the things I need to color? Do I move it to Paint? Is there a tool within the program? Thanks for any help I can get.
missouri tigers
I'm assuming that you've been trying to use the paint fill tool?If so, that won't work for vector elements. You need to select each individual element with one of the two selection tools, then choose/ adjust the colors. Whittier S
As missouri tigers said, isolate each item. Hit CTRL + SHIFT + F (all at the same time), which will open up the toolbox for fill and line. Hopefully it will be more self-explanatory from that point. Whittier S
If you have a current version of Inkscape, there's even a tutorial--essentially the same material as in the link, except laid out as an .svg file so you can interact directly within the tutorial--built into the system, under Help.
