It looks good, BUT the banner ad makes the header way too big and top-heavy. Maybe it would look better at the bottom of the page instead?

The banner ad is a necessary evil - the server bill has climbed quite a bit above the $1000/month mark over the last couple of months and I don't have a full-time job anymore... oops

I'm not saying get rid of it, I'm just wondering if there's a way to make it look better.

I like it so far. Seems like a little more efficient layout, too. Once the posts from the last 6 hours are back, I've got no complaints.

Like the new look! Only thing I've noticed so far is that if you click on the "Sports In General" link, that it takes you to the site's main page.

Also, I don't really like the way we have to scroll down all the way to the end of the page, to reply to a topic.

Looks good, however there is much to get used to again. Kind of like Facebook, people will bitch, but they will get used to it after a while and forget about the last update.

Considering I've been here forever and a half and I can't remember any of the previous versions besides the latest one, I'm cool with this. I'll take security over design all day every day. Thanks Chris.

Edit -- Is it possible to have it so it shows which subforums have been updated? For like the fantasy sections? Because I only really care when the leagues I am in are updated. If not that's totally understandable. Just wondering.

Yeah, I had all my fantasy leagues set to follow, and even after selecting the notify option, I'm not getting any sort of notification when the forums are updated.

Well, this is a bit of a surprise. I've been posting from my phone all day, and figured that the change was just to the mobile site. It'll take some getting used to, but the web version looks great.

As for the mobile version, I really don't like it so far. I understand the need for upgrades and appreciate the effort put in to make it easier to post here, but this one just feels really clunky and confusing. It takes a lot more clicks to get back to the main page, and it's really difficult to find topics.

But I complain every time the mobile site changes, because it feels like learning to walk all over again, so take it for what it's worth.

I'd even be willing to drop the $1.99 for the iPhone app if it circumvents these issues, but all the reviews say its downright awful.

I'm always that guy that gets annoyed when people freak out over website changes, but this one actually hurts. I don't like the whole black/blue gradient thing. Feels old. Also don't like the green highlights...

I also don't like the way that the post info is now. There's not enough "pop" to visit a post. I'd look for the "glowing" logo, or the logo in color. I don't feel drawn to topics.

Is there any room for change?

I actually like the new design. Nice and clean layout with some handy new features. Other than the avatar issues, the one thing I don't like - and this is very minor - is how the member title is now above the avatar.

I'll echo the general sentiment and say that it's not bad, but it'll take some getting used to for sure.

"I miss the old one" are famous words from past members who ended up getting used to and loving the old forum style. Things need to change from time to time, and I think the last layout overstayed it's welcome. This new layout and slick and sleek. I love it!

Better graphically / worse graphically, eh, I don't care. If it gets rid of spammers then it will be the coolest and greatest thing ever.

The only thing I've noticed is after switching from the mobile to full version if you want to switch back the link doesn't work.

The home page is pretty cool, and I'd say it's an upgrade over the previous one. But I'd rather be honest with everything else. There are alot of things that I find really downgraded too.

The disproportioned font sizes of all of the text is probably the biggest problem. I don't know what's the best way to put it, but I'll say that the boards are not as easy on the eyes as it used to be. Right now, it feels like I'm on an older version of the site, from like 10 years ago. I don't think this is something that needs users to just get used to. I think it's a problem that should be fixed.

I understand that the site needed to be updated for security reasons, and I respect that. I just wanted to tell you what my honest opinion is.
