BigBubba
You'd think that of all teams, the Yankees would be above that, but I guess not. Nobody cares about your humungous-big signature. PotD: 29/1/

phutmasterflex
At least they wore it for a good cause (kind of) so I'll let this pass for the Yankshttp://butattheendoftheday.com/2013/08/09/yankees-not-wearing-their-regular-caps-for-game-against-tigers/ Go A's! It's all fair game now.Steinbrenner was a royal scumbag, but I'll give him this: he told MLB to pound sand when it came to things like this. He wouldn't sell out his team's aesthetic legacy for a little merchandising; he wouldn't even join the rotating-bullpen-jacket scheme, keeping the Yanks in classic satin jackets for a decade after all other teams had moved on.When asked why the Yankees didn't participate in the "Turn Ahead the Clock" event, he responded: "We did." CubsFanBudMan
And now that the slippery slope has started, just imagine what the Yankees might be wearing in 2021. I really thought he'd be right on that one...

Old School Fool
The only thing I want the Yankees to do is have a blue alternate with the NY on the chest. I mean, I'm sure alot of you would disagree but it's just a simple thing I could see them actually do.

phutmasterflex
I think the Yanks road sets is one of the best sets in baseball. Would want the Yanks to wear nothing else but that on the road. Go A's!
SCL
Not sure what "one of the best" means but it's certainly not top 5 or even 10Agreed, pretty mediocre.
phutmasterflex
I think it's one of the best because it's so simple. I like it because NEW YORK across the front is in a sense intimidating and it embodies a tough city like NY. That's my opinion Go A's!
Jungle Jim
The sleeve bands ruin the Yankees road jerseys. They were added for the 1973 season, which also happened to be the first year of Steinbrenner's ownership. I always assumed he had them added but don't know for sure. It wasn't "broke", so there was nothing to fix...
phutmasterflex
True. But the reason why I like the arm bands is because the jersey has no sleeve patch. Without it, the jersey is really plain. The arm bands are simple and for me, it gives the jersey a nice balance. If the Yankees had a sleeve patch, then a band would be too much Go A's! tubby34
The Yankees should have a home and road throwback if they really want alternates. Maybe start at 1905 and every two years move up in history until they resemble the current set, and even then maybe adopt a creme and faux flannel alternate.
