They also beat a team comprised of Godzilla, the ghost of Abraham Lincoln, 2 Power Rangers and Betty White. Oh, and they played in the middle of Iraq on a military base. In the sand. With no ice. Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. Kramerica Industries
Speaking of neck rollsAnd then you, of all people, don't provide any mention of Mike Alstott.
tBBP
That's because a/ he wasn't known for it, not in the vein of Dickerson's neck thing or Cox's headboard, especially since it wasn't exposed and b/ plenty of other players have worn similar pieces of equipment over the years. It was hardly unique to Alstott.By the way...has anyone mentioned Jamie Moyer's stirrups? (I'm in phone; don't have a photo at the moment.) *Disclaimer: I am not an authoritative expert on stuff...I just do a lot of reading and research and keep in close connect with a bunch of people who are authoritative experts on stuff. || dribbble || Behance ||

pianoknight
Current Husker WR Kenny Bell always wears the same tattered blue undershirt that he received as a member of the scout team. He continues to wear it during practices and games as a reminder to stay humble and remember where you came from. 5th in NAT. TITLES | 2nd in CONF. FiddySicks
This one may only be me, but I always associated this style of helmet (Schutt, I think?) with Warren Sapp. Not so much as he was the only player to wear it or anything, but because it came off during play so often.Another one was Bret Favre and the unstrapped helmet. He must've HATED wearing the chin strap because he wouldn't latch it up untill he walked to the line and it was usually undone before the pass was even caught. BlueSky
Theismann and his single bar. He had to be one of the last QBs to wear one. His helmet always looked funny to me as well, as if the shell was too big for his head or something. While we're on QBs, Aaron Brooks and the way he wore his helmet so low it almost covered his eyes:And Miles Austin for the complete opposite effect:Steven Jackson and his facemask that barely seems to clear the end of his nose:Deion had his ever-present towel:Speaking of towels, couldn't find a pic but a lot of the centers in the '60s and '70s would have one hanging squarely from the back of their waistbands so the QB could wipe his hands at the line before taking the snap. You'd always see the QB flip the towel up onto the center's back so it wouldn't interfere with the snap.
