hawk36
I saw this for the first time today (granted I'm not a Jets fan so it could be an old logo). At first glance I saw the NY and NJ and thought, what an interesting subconscious nod to the Jets 2 home states. Design Hovie Studios
SmoothieX
Good eye. Seeing as the Y bleeds into the E as well though, it must be the New York/New Jersey/Yukon Jets. Or Yellowstone, or Yemen...
hawk36
Wait, read it diagonally and there is a, gasp, NE (New England?)! Design Hovie Studios
hormone
Man, I don't see it. Am I drunk, stupid, or both? I just see NY over Jets.
Gothamite
You need to squint, jump on one leg and look in the opposite direction. Then it'll be obvious. The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.

njmeadowlanders
They've had that wordmark in some capacity for roughly a decade or so now. It's probably just a coincidence that the N over the J = New Jersey.
Sec19Row53
And sometimes they write Green Bay over the top of Packers, with the G over the P, signifying the team's commitment to the Greater Pulaski metropolitan area. It's where I sit.
-kj
Well, now that you're done being jerks about it... I think his point is not just that they're aligned, but that they're actually connected. Gothamite
I don't think anybody missed that - it was commented on in the first reply to his post. Doesn't make it any less a reach. Jerks? Really? As Internet snark goes, I don't think this puts us any lower than "mild creep". The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog. -kj
Looking at it in the much larger format... if it was intentional, it's damned sloppy.Jerks? Really? As Internet snark goes, I don't think this puts us any lower than "mild creep".That's a fine distinction. Buy some t-shirts and stuff at KJ Shop! goforbroke
On the topic of Jets branding... I think its really cool that they use the double stripes (as seen on the pants, helmet, road socks and a variation on the sleeves also) and translate that into jet vapor trails like you see in the sky when jets fly past. Pretty clever. You see it all over the stadium.
