Is rebuilding now an euphemism for "not trying to win ever"? Please somebody clarify.

In non-Marlins news, the Nationals unveiled a 5th Presidential mascot at NatsFest today. It is none other than Teddy's nemesis and father of the 7th inning stretch, William Howard Taft.

Honestly, I'm not that excited about introducing another president. I would've preferred letting the Rushmore presidents do their thing (without the gag of Teddy losing all the time now). We'll have to wait and see what they have in store.

The stress associated with the Presidency is what led to Taft getting as large as he did.

Once he left the public eye, his health improved dramatically. And, no, in the 1920s, being Chief Justice was not a public eye job.

He also had the good fortune to pass away before the New Deal, though.

The Blue Jays are getting serious about installing grass in the SkyDome, but they said it will be at least another 5 years until they can do so. The reason is because they can't jut kick the Argos out, since they have nowhere else to play. Add on top that the Dome is a horrible place for football, especially for a CFL team, and you need a new stadium for the good of both clubs. Problem is, there are none viable enough for the Argos to play in, and getting a new one built isn't going to be easy.

More PED Scandals? Yes, Please.

Then check out the main column, where their real names flash like an all-star roster of professional athletes with Miami ties: San Francisco Giants outfielder Melky Cabrera, Oakland A's hurler Bartolo Colón, pro tennis player Wayne Odesnik, budding Cuban superstar boxer Yuriorkis Gamboa, and Texas Rangers slugger Nelson Cruz. There's even the New York Yankees' $275 million man himself, Alex Rodriguez, who has sworn he stopped juicing a decade ago.

Fulton County stadium and Jacky Murphy stadium had grass fields and were dual purpose facilities. Why can't the skydome do that same?

If you read the first article from Bubba the way the Skydome was built to reconfigure back between football and baseball would significantly damage the field. Fulton County/Jack Murphy as well as Shea Stadium and the Oakland Coliseum were built with grass in mind so they have a different system.

Skydome doesn't have the drainage setups to handle rain. Which means they don't crack the roof whenever there's a chance of weather. That's not good for grass.

Nobody will ever get Steroids out of baseball.

Your sentiment is correct, but it doesn't seem like "steroids" are the problem any longer. The things guys are taking aren't being tested for currently. However, by the time there is a test, there will be new drugs to take.
